I don't know how famous Sherlock Holmes is in USA, but in my country he isn't that well-know. My sister doesn't know him, for example.
As for the trailer, the only thing that bugged me was why the hell Sherlock was fighting in some kind of arena.
But I liked it, I should see it when it hits the cinemas.

Now then, on topic. People seem to be complaining about Holmes fist-fighting in arenas, and how completely ridiculous that is.
Well, I've just been reading up a little on the character, and look what I found.
He's actually known to have been a brawler during a part of his life, and is skilled with various weapons.
