In laymans terms yeah. In scientific terms... Not really.

A fairly large portion of humans are born 'intersexed', which is basically a big fancy scientific term that means "Hey, something went wrong in the womb, and they are not 100% female or 100% male"

Most of the time, it's insignificant to the point that people die without ever being medically aware of it. It's all internal parts, nobody really notices.

But sometimes... you get a female athlete or something who develops somewhat better muscularly than 100% women, and some butt-hurt douchebags who lost a competition come along and demands she have testing that proves she isn't intersexed. Then after the tests inevitably come back positive, they take away the woman's trophy/medal/whatever and ban them from competition in either male or female divisions.

This woman's life is probably going to be ruined by a medical condition she knew nothing about, just because she wanted to complete athletically.

oh god, i know who those protesters are in that picture. Not personally, but they protest at the funerals of soldiers who died over seas and try to RUIN THE FUCKING FUNERAL.
