i've been thinking about Greek myths.

specifically the part before the Trojan war, you all know how the story goes, two gods get married, everyone is invited except Eris and in a rage she throws a golden apple right in the middle of the wedding, causing Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite to fight over it. Zeus, not wanting to get nagged at by 2 goddesses more than he already is passes it off to Paris. All the goddesses decide to bribe him. Hera promises him to make him King of all Asia, Athena promises to make him the wisest of all men and invincible in war. Aphrodite? I'll let you steal another man's woman. Paris chooses Aphrodite.

second of all why would you ever do that right in front of Hera, the goddess of Marriage, who punishes people who are unfaithful to their spouses or otherwise treat them poorly, as Jason found out to his unfortunate demise, and as Zeus found out to his unfortunate endless exasperation.

third of all, Helen is married to the King of Sparta. Sparta, that militaristic Greek city state that is known for producing the most bad-booty soldiers of the Greek era, that take shit from nobody. the fuck do you think is going happen.
