Re: All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for
I saw a car today with an anti abortion bumper sticker that said "A vote for abortion is a vote for *something stupid that I couldn't make out*", and the car happened to have a rusted hole in the same spot so the only really legible part of the sticker said "Vote for abortion". I thought that was funny.

Related, kind of. Grye wished me a pop flyin' St. Urho's day and I went 'who' and it turns out the Finnish American diaspora went and made up their own saint with his own day that they celebrate. Americans being fixated on their heritage is a regular joke on /int/ but I thought this was pretty cool. You could ask and I'm pretty sure 95% of the people here would have no idea such a day exists.Riku wrote:daisies leftist propaganda. And Brit-land doesn't even count, since it's just a bunch of villages full of knights and fishermen, with the odd time traveler here and there. That's why we was able to get our FREEDOM so easily when we made the smart decision and made our own country an entire ocean away from those lame-os.
Psh, more countries than just the U.S. ... Next you'll start blabberin' about how there's "cultural diversity" and "different people groups" in Africa, when all the real, red-blooded Americans know that it's just some vague idea of a homogenous Not-Us. Shit, entire continent might not exist, I dunno.

I thought "St. Patrick's Day" got filtrolled until a bit further into reading that.
Don't blame me; I voted for Kodos.

Hello hello hello!
My computer has gone and done exactly what I didn't want it to do: get fucked up.
I need to find my Windows 7 OS disc and reinstall the OS. If that doesn't fix it, I need a new HDD! I'm okay with either way, really. It gives me an excuse to upgrade to a SSD and I have all my importantish stuff on a flash drive.
Right now I'm on my moms teeny-booty terrible laptop which can barely keep up with how fast I type. It is very stressful.
I hope to be moving to Texas soon. SOON. I have heard conflicting statements about the quality of the people, food, and life there. Like this "Rudy's" Kamak keeps going on about. He says its magical, like the nectar of the gods in beef form.
My other friend says "eh, its okay". Also I don't care much for meaty stuff that isn't turkey or fish, so whatever. Also I can't stand bacon, so maybe a restaurant that (according to Kamak) only serves briskets and steaks the size of houses wrapped in bacon is not the place for me.
ONCE I GET TO TEXAS I'll fix my fucking computer. Ugh. it's the worst. I should have sprung for a HDD that wasn't like $70 for 1 TB. In like 2012.
ALSO:
I have almost finished X-Files. Yay.
Blonde Guiness is pretty good.
I finished Fire Emblem: Revelation and it was fantastic and I am in love with all the characters.
I am replaying Pokemon X because I played it until just after the Elite Four back when it was new then never played it again so its like a blind run and I'm loving it.
And that summarizes my entire life since i last posted like 9 days ago.
basically i have been out of college for 3 months and I've accomplished nothing. Here's hoping that changes soon
Bye again, be back in like who fucking knows or something
maybe later tonight, if I can tolerate mom's laptop
maybe tomorrow night if etc etc etc

i don't like barbecue so i have no comment in rudy's (except that it's overpriced, according to kyle.)
pretty much all the other food is great here though. if i can say one thing for the south it's that we make good food. oh and if you ever make it out of city limits stop at buc-ees. it sounds like a horrible midwestern truck stop at which you'd definitely get murdered, but i promise you it's like magic. buy a horrifying beaver shirt while you're there. and some jerky. it's like manna.
anyway i've used the salt generated by my sister's stupidity into fuel for my building projects and i'm exhausted now. not quite done, but the only thing left isn't very labour intensive. it's just.......so humid and hot here, ugh.
gonna make my rabbits fuck on sunday though. i was gonna wait a little while to maybe get more prepared but 1. i'm at the point in my research where i have read it all and just need to Do It, and 2. if i breed them on sunday she'll have her babies on 4/20 so like
y'know
if anyone wants mini lops imma have some with a hilarious birthday soon

Rudy's is a good gateway barbeque place because it's decent quality for a decent (if a bit high) price. Because jumping into anything else is going to get into a myriad of "this is REAL barbeque" and "the hell it ain't" shit. Or you're going to pay way too daisies much for absolutely nothing. Also maybe the only thing they have on their menu with bacon in it is the breakfast tacos and the beans, IDK though, I don't eat that stuff there because I am brisket baby.
And we both know that:
is a daisies lie. Also I don't care much for meaty stuff that isn't turkey or fish

Edit: I'm feeling better now, just a heads up. :p
I feel like I need to get this off my mind.
I'm the type of person who doesn't really show stress, to the point that I don't even realise I am stressed. I bodaciously just start to feel sick and think I'm ill and brush off the idea that I'm stressed.
I'm a guy who loves to play games but right now this stress stops me from even doing that, It's like I just want this feeling gone.
Recently I've been thinking that, when I've been feeling like I haven't gotten enough of a game when I finish it, I wonder if it's just that stress built up and me wanting to subconsciously block it out by playing more and the game obviously can't deliver after it's done, leaving me with that sick empty feeling.
I've never felt that way until recently, I guess it's just the stress of looking for a job and pretty much getting turned down or ignored.
Even in college I never had this feeling.
Man, I'm not normally a very down person, even just typing this here makes me feel bad. But if I don't let it out somewhere it'll just build up more and get worse.

I ordered some chocolate in bulk online. This is how responsible students are supposed to spend their limited funds, right?

Well, it's better than getting involved in a ponzi scheme. Also, I have no idea what a ponzi scheme is, other than a way to con people out of cheddar. Same for pyramid schemes.
Funny thing, I know it had been explained to me before.
Maybe... Now I'm not so sure I'd read or heard any such explanation... And from that, I could probably unravel the entirety of the reality I perceive like an old, badly knit Christmas sweater you feel obligated to wear because Grandma made it, and she has Parkinson's. But she toughed it out, because in her day, they didn't have toilet paper, they had pine cones.
Yeah... I should probably go to bed now, since I have work in the morning.

I've finally gotten comfortable enough with Linux that I'm starting to prefer it over Windows. Now to just wait for my neckbeard and life supply of Cheetos to arrive in the mail.

Just casually browsing Know Your Meme when suddenly.

Edit:
Went to do something, left mouse cursor over paused Youtube Video.
Looked at Imgur on my phone, kept looking at it when back at computer and put my earphones back in (connected to computer).
Laptop screen goes dark, taps touchpad to stop it going to sleep mode.
Unintentionally start Youtube video, it startled me.
Edit2: And of all the coincidences. This is what was said about 10 seconds after the video startled me.

PS. WhiteDay remake for those wondering what it is.

I apologize in advance for this, as it involves Facebook, and I know a lot of you hate Facebook. Or, at least, that's the impression that I get.
Anyway, the other day, I got a friend request from a girl I don't know at all. There were two others I had gotten before, and unfriended later because I had reason to believe they weren't even real people.
So I sent a message asking if I know her from somewhere, and it turned out Facebook does this thing where it'll send recommendations to people.
Anyway, that led to a conversation, and... I'm not quite sure, but I think she may have been hitting on me, and now I'm super nervous and embarrassed. Not sure why, because she's in Ohio, so there's no way anything will happen. I'm not gonna do another long distance relationship.
Maybe I'm embarrassed because I think I'll try it anyway, knowing that shit doesn't end well?

i live in ohio, its the corn come to claim you dont fall for its tricks
on a serious note, reign it in pardner, dont get ahead of yourself now. you just met this girl randomly over facebook, maybe she was flirting, maybe she was just being nice. no need to shift into 5th gear here, just be cool, be friendly, play ball, see where it goes. thinking about a long distance relationship with someone you bodaciously just met is jumping the gun and if she was serious id be a bit concerned about it.
