All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for
Re: All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for
I didn't know you wrote for Cracked, Stranger. That was a pretty interesting article.
(I thought that maybe you could mention that the worst ending of Drakengard paved the way for the spiritual successor that the creator flat-out said was inspired by the terrorist attacks on 9/11, but that might be a little less relevant.)
On an unrelated note, today I learned that the voice actor for Mewtwo in Smash 4 is a Japanese Robert Downey Jr. dub voice actor.

Got my hands on a car, finally. Nice old '99 Civic with a few cosmetic flaws but otherwise in great condition.
Cleanest interior I've evee seen on a car, to boot. Kinda wish it had a cassette deck, but CD will do for now.

Since this is garbled English, please refer to the brutal attack of confusion.

I didn't know you had done anything for them since the Unresolved Cliffhangers article, Stranger. Neat!

See, I'd go for a Wendigo, or a Mothman out of sheer creep factor.

Anybody have any ideas about what kinds of decently paying jobs you can get with an Associate's Degree? I'd ask a career counselor at the college here, but the office is closed because, I shit you not, nobody works there.

let's be honest it was the dumbest luck
If I can apply what happened to me as a general thing instead of blind, stupid luck, trade jobs will take apprentices with no education or experience.

Re: All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for
I've been researching this a lot lately and from what I've found, here's a small list:Marcato wrote:Anybody have any ideas about what kinds of decently paying jobs you can get with an Associate's Degree? Registered Nurse (requires an associate's in that field though)
Dental Hygienist (same as above)
IT work (requires passing some certification tests, but they're not that hard from what I've found)
Real Estate Agent (also requires a small amount of training and certification, but not much)
Paralegals
Funeral Directors
And like Exeres mentioned, there are always trades, which is what I'm most likely going to do. The only thing keeping me from it is that I want to have a working back when I'm 50. Plus tradesmen work long hours and I'm lazy.
I think how hard it is to get into a trade depends on the state. Here in Kentucky, I know I could get an apprenticeship easily in welding, carpentry, or plumbing. But I don't know how hard it would be to get into one in California (I think that's where you live?).
There are a lot more associate degree jobs out there, but those are the ones I've found that have a good balance of pay and job outlook.

The Mountain Dew has been spiked, the food is out, the fire is lit, and college football is disappointing me.

Tinychat broke for me forever as soon as it started working again. Hopefully my internet stops dying the next time though!
