It was Open Mic Night at the student union tonight. It was a lot of fun, and there were surprisingly few embarrassing performances!
Highlights:
A dope dance routine
A charming song about vampire girls
A tender little song about a man's love affair with his right hand (he got shooed off the stage before he could finish, unfortunately)
A white guy playing a guitar acknowledging that he was like the fifth person who's performance was "white guy playing a guitar"
Several songs and poems about Black Lives Matter and racial relations in general
The only really "bad" parts were the few comedy acts, which were mostly just mediocre instead of being offensively unfunny or anything. So overall, pretty good.
Holy shit there's a new airline that offers direct flights from Montreal to Reykjavik for $100 and to London/Paris/Berlin/Copenhagen/Stockholm for $150.
It used to be > $3000 with a stopover at Paris.
I could like
go to cool places
see the magnificent møøse
Iron Maiden is coming to Chicago in April, which should be close enough for me to go. I'm totally buying tickets. No way in hell am I going to miss this.

I'm staying with my grandma for a week. She broke her foot and I shall help take care of normal duties. Most frustrating part is that she broke it 2 weeks ago, and she never told anyone. So yeah.

I think I've probably got enough horsepower to run 1440p at 144hz, but it's just not worth the investment right now. If I were to get anything, I'd want it to have G-Sync and that's especially not a responsible way to spent cheddar.
I'm gonna scratch my upgrading itch by sticking my old GPU back in as a dedicated PhysX card sometime soon, most likely. It'll mostly be a placebo, but some folks are getting as much as +10 fps, so who knows?
Since this is garbled English, please refer to the brutal attack of confusion.

My mom once broke her foot and didn't even know, she went for a checkup to see why her foot was hurting and was told it was broken.

Mine isn't quite that powerful, but it's enough to run any modern games at playable settings, which is fine for me and I love it, but I just keep feeling the need to beef it out even more haha.

Someone showed me multimonitor setups earlier and I kind of want them. If I ever get an extra thousand though, I'll build myself an even better pc. I like having high performance.
PC building is addicting. The first time you build your own gaming PC, the satisfaction from your work paying off and the rush of finally getting to play beautiful games that run smoothly gives you a high you'll forever keep on chasing.
