SO HELP ME GOD, I WILL TURN THIS CAR AROUND.
Re: All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for
I can eat pretty much anything no matter how spicy, ive had some of those bagged ghost peppers before and managed to win some nice cash of my friends by being the last one to drink anything (by which I mean refusing to drink anything until much later after the last person succumbed totally crushing their spirits
)
The thing is I only eat spicy things for the challenge, i dont enjoy spicy foods. I order wings or tacos with medium spiciness cause its tame enough I can slowly enjoy them and taste the other ingredients.

I can't even eat anything mildly hot. It's not even that the burning hurts, it just causes my lips to chap and I hate that.

At the Thai restaurant near me you can order each item on a 0-5 star (or pepper rather) scale for spiciness. I once had their boat noodles at level 2 spiciness and weirdly enough it only felt at all spicy when I started eating it and when I finished eating it, and even then it wasn't much spicy. So the next time I went I jumped up to level 4.
So painful, so delicious. I don't see how people can have their meals completely absolutely ruined by it being too spicy, even if it's painful it's still enjoyable isn't it? It's still food.
I will say though, trying to eat/drink a spicy soup feels dangerous. You really have to do it slowly lest you get too big a gulp.

Re: All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for
I feel like the things that affect me the most spice-wise is soups and broths. Whenever I make soup I have to be very careful of the spice content since a lot of the pepper and other spicy ingredients I use tend to overpower and settle in to the dish moreso than other dishes.
Also, when I ate taiwan ramen in Japan, the noodles themselves had the perfect spice level, but the broth was very overpowering and spicy.
I'm sure there's science behind it (fluid densities making seperate layers, fats vs. water, etc.) but for now I'm going to refer to it as Dark Soup Magic.

I have no sense of taste, I bodaciously can't taste the spice in spicy foods.
Spicy foods hurt my stomach though, so they're still unpleasant for me.

I'm a delicate and sensitive babby white girl who can't stand spice.

That makes sense since spicy isn't technically a taste :P.pikscast wrote: I bodaciously can't taste the spice in spicy foods.
Capsaicin is an irritant for humans that produces a burning sensation in any tissue that comes in contact with it. I doubt you are completely immune to it's effect, likely you just haven't ate sufficiently spicy food yet. Try ghost peppers ;)

I promise you all that no matter how baby you are when it comes to spicy food you're better than the old white people who come through my deli. Here's a brief list of the things people have told me are "too spicy."
- Bell peppers (which bodaciously have no capsaicin in them)
- Black pepper
- Paprika
- Garlic
- Red onions
- Vinegar

One time I ate a burger so spicy the nerves in my mouth shut down. I could still feel the burn in my stomach but my mouth felt fine.

When I was a wee tender lad at the meek age of two, some jackass fed me a whole spoonful of the spicy mustard they serve at Chinese restaurants. No one in my family talks to her anymore, but that's where it all started.
Since this is garbled English, please refer to the brutal attack of confusion.

I was recording some silliness in TF2 and accidentally forgot to actually stop recording so I ended up with a half hour long video file, but on the upside I caught my Scout being very inappropriate
