I went into the bathroom to get some water and take some painkillers, but got distracted with washing my hands. Then my brain flipped onto autopilot and decided that since I was in the bathroom, I must have been there to brush my teeth!

I didn't actually realise I was brushing my teeth until halfway through.

Its times like this I start to understand why my stepdad beat the shit out of me when I was a kid. Sure, it created a psychological trauma that still hasnt fully mended since he forgot to actually apply it as negative reinforcement and just did it when he was frustrated, but I learned to shut the fuck up, that was for sure. Surprising what the omnipresent threat of violence will do for a kids behavior

I should start looking for internships soon, but it's so intimidating. I don't know where to start.

Ugh, all this pasta just sitting here waiting to be cooked but I don't feel like having pasta

But there aren't many leftovers left besides my chicken teriyaki which I was hoping to save for later

But I need nourishment

My first world problems are just spiraling out of control

My friends and I hung out today and it was so fun! I'm excited for this new college semester cause I'll get to see more friends from my old high school, and I think my classes will be pretty easy, except for the Pre Calc class.. I'm not that great at math, so I'm going to study really hard for it.

No joke, just type "[your field of study] internships in [your area]" into google, you will probably find some websites dedicated to that sort of thing (even if you don't find anything specific that way, it's a place to start). Indeed.com is what I primarily use as a job search engine, I believe it shows internships as well. My university also had its own job/internship search engine. You could also try looking up some companies you might be interested in and seeing if they offer any internships.

Also I feel like I tell people this all the time but see if you can find a career counselor or if there's a career center with resources you can use. It was a huge help for me because I had no clue what I was doing.

This is why I'm glad I have a cat that catches all these bugs before they can even get near me.

My cat is a bug eater too

she's caught a couple of centipedes for me but she also goes after the crickets I keep as fodder for my gecko >:[ She's knocked over my cricket keeper more than once. Crickets EVERYWHERE

I didn't have to worry about cleanup since I'm pretty sure she ate all of them but it wouldn't have been a problem in the first place if she left them ALONE.
