I was reading a post on Tumblr and the next thing I knew my cursor was jumping to the tiny link in the post and clicking it and then I made a post about it and while I was typing my cursor kept jumping to the title section so I was writing in there and now I'm writing this and it just clicked some random text style button and put that in my post oh my god why is it doing this

It keeps doing it in Skype too and making me click adverts and I'm fairly certain I wasn't even using my mouse for that, just my touchpad

edit: OKAY I think it might have had something to do with my laptop's touchscreen messing up because I tried disabling that and the problem seems to have gone away now. I rarely ever used the touchscreen and it just made it annoying whenever I tried to wipe it so eh
My laptop's done stuff like that before, too. Usually gets worse when the screen is warm.
I wish I could disable the touchscreen, but there's no quick and easy way to do it without installing a driver and then disabling said driver.

[CN]'s Super Advanced Slightly More Than 20ยข Delicious Maruchan Ramen+

It is as follows:
1 Package of Maruchan instant ramen (I usually use shrimp, but I used beef this time)
2 Eggs
A handful of frozen vegetables
A handful of whatever meat/fish you are going to add (make sure it is precooked AND goes with the ramen flavor)

Thaw your vegetables/shrimp (my favorite combo) by running them under warm water until room temperature
Boil two cups of water, according the instructions on the ramen packaging.
When the water comes to a boil, toss in the veggies and meat/fish/whatever shrimp are called
Let the water return to a boil before adding in the ramen brick
Stir the ramen brick for very nearly 2 minutes. This should be plenty of time to allow it to soften and turn into a pot of noodles and stuff instead of a pot of stuff with a noodle block in the middle.
Crack in an egg on each side of the pot. Put the lid on (hopefully a glass one, this is important) and let it sit until it starts to bubble and foam almost over the top of the pot.
Remove the lid, let it simmer until the end of the third and final minute.
Remove from the heat.
Add in the seasoning packet and stir gently.
Pour into a bowl.

The best part is that the eggwhites cook thoroughly but the yolks are still mostly liquid, so later when you are using your chopsticks to eat (like a proper weeaboo sudden, strong flashbacks to 2006) you can break apart the eggs and stir in the yolk and it makes it 10x more yummy.

And this is what I am eating at 5:30 AM. :eng101:

Another TMI thread onto the corpse wagon

What's even the point of that thread

I understand why people would want to have the Taboo Topics thread for certain discussions that are normally only conducted in a serious manner, but TMI was just..."stuff that would gross people out"???? (Excluding the joke thread obviously)

I mean, if you think something's wrong with your body you can ask in the Health thread, regardless of what it is. If it's really that sensitive why are you posting about it on a public forum????

A TMI thread just seems like "WHOA HEY PEOPLE POOP AND WOMEN HAVE PERIODS, DID YOU KNOW THAT HUMAN BEINGS ENGAGE IN THE ACT OF INTERCOURSE?"
And it sure seems like people don't seem to comprehend a solid set of heavily moderated rules, so the thread keeps getting locked, remade and locked again, a fruitless endeavor

Well the most recent tmi thread was obviously a joke.

Awkward hormonal teens like to talk about their funny parts and that kinda ruins it for people who want to have actual mature discourse. Plus this is an all ages forum so that thread always sat on a very thin line between inappropriate and...self affirming? Iunno it's weird.

Yeah, that seems like a fair description of Taco Bell bathrooms.

One time when I was living in dorms at uni, me and some friends had a night out around town. On our way back to the dorms we stopped by a Taco Bell to use their restrooms. Probably had like 5-10 people in our group?

We all pile into the restaurant and make our way towards the restrooms. First person opens the door and immediately a most unbearable stench wafted out.

Someone had apparently been very, very drunk. They seem to have had explosive diarrhea and most of it missed the toilet. They also had projectile vomited facing away from the toilet and coated the sink in chunks.

It was fucking nasty. My sympathy to Taco Bell employees and the bio hazard safety gear they deserve but do not have.

Anyway we made it back to the dorms without anyone pissing themselves. End story. Carry on.

Hey hey no woah the way in which people showed their glaring ignorance to proper safety procedures is the real joke here

Long story short, its one of those annoying forum jokes that just keeps going despite not being funny in the first place because people are like goddamn parrots when it comes to memes.

You guys might not have experienced it but the various incarnations of the TMI thread over the past years were used for light-hearted harmless fun and/or genuine health questions. It got locked/deleted a couple of times because (and as soon as) people broke the rules and after a while the proletariats decided it was best not to revive it. Those who remember it might miss it and remember it with nostalgia because the forum was different at the time. Some people have expressed interest in reviving it once more but it's one of those nice things we can't have.
That was, I think, Marcato's point in creating the not-TMI TMI thread, and the two of you might have gotten the joke if you weren't intentionally being killjoys.

When we first had the TMI thread it was the health thread and the "black puss came out of my body am I going to die? Not going to the doctor lmao." and "I CAN'T STOP POOPING OH MY GOD" thread. We made a health thread later when TMI became poop jokes and general gross things as a serious alternative (like Current Events vs. Taboo Topics, though CE has become more serious especially with taboo locked because we cannot have nice things). Once the useful part of the thread left, there was no reason to have the TMI thread because it just promoted bad posting choices, especially those that locked the threads. Obnosim hit the nail on the head for why people miss it.

The need for it is obsolete with the health thread and there isn't a point in reviving it at this time.

I made the nuclear TMI thread because people had been talking about wanting another TMI thread and that's pretty much never going to happen again. So I wanted to make something for people to laugh at about the whole situation.

That and I hadn't unfunny waste of space, time and resources in a while. Good to get that out of my system now and then, haha.
