The weather here is interestingly crazy. A lightning storm. It's a little bit rainy, but there is lightning everywhere.

On my drive home from work I saw the most incredible lightning strike ever. I saw it start out of the corner of my left eye and crawl across the clouds to almost out of the vision in my right eye before suddenly striking the ground.

The whole process took about 2.5 seconds and it was like daylight outside, except white light. Like the shitty lighting in hospitals and dentist offices, except outside and everywhere.


It was so awesome.

Dammit, now your devil weather has made it here. Thought someone just took a picture of me because of how bright the lightning was and then the thunder hit and scared the shit out of me.

Do you ever go to the beach for Christmas like adults tell small children you do when they are explaining hemisphere seasonal differences?

Around Christmas? Nah, we're like, an hour at least away from any beaches and we're usually booked out on meeting up with family or whatever. Sometimes we do it if we're on holiday around that time, but by then it's usually the following year already.

A recently closed restaurant/bar/motel was on fire today. I drove by after work while it was burning with fire trucks from five different stations crowding the road and lots around it. From what I'm hearing from people I know at the scene, it's completely gone. Someone just bought the place, too.

I'll bet $100 some people broke in to a motel room and started cooking meth.
