Nah, most of the big subreddits, and a lot of the small ones as well, are now set to private.

Good thing I mostly just browse Imgur anyway.

I know alot of smaller communities are fine, but Reddit as a whole has caused so much pointless shit and drama I cant help but be a bit giddy as it self destructs.

A friend had invited me to tag along to a meeting of his creative writing group and I finally had the chance to actually go last night. I'd intended to be a fly on the wall but I was denied access to their table unless I participated, so what the hell. Their activities mostly consisted of using various visual prompts for impromptu writing of more or less any style, and the first prompt I pulled was a fairly nice-sounding poem in an ad for the Four Seasons hotel. This got me thinking along the lines of polite society and unfortunately, because I'd JUST finished watching the Netflix Daredevil series, made me think of darker underlying intentions as well - fake smiles, underground crime hidden beneath a diplomatic surface, that sort of thing.

Which is what I started writing on. In a group of smiling new faces. I'd already gotten halfway through it before I realized how awful it sounded for an introductory piece and had to throw in a disclaimer before I read it aloud. Whoops.

Your right, but i've had people I care for burned by Reddit, so for me its personally satisfying

Anyway, this will probably blow over in a week or so, one way or another. I do wonder where all the Reddit addicts will go in the meantime.

It's a reddit clone. That got fucked when /r/fatpeoplehate got banned so that entire community of asshats shifted over there and burnt out their servers for a while, and now they are currently down for server upgrades to accommodate the current mass exodus.
