We did Age of Empires in Kindergarten.

I was a catapult, because I'm so tall and can't aim.
Throwing rocks at each other = fun.
Getting caught = not fun.

And we had kids (usually overwheight ones) sit down and be wonders.
First guy to knock down the wonder wins.

We had kids running around really fast pretending to be calvary.

It was actually a bit of a brawl.

I suddenly want to do something that I think I'll regret so much later.

Me and my older brother did all the time and still do.

We use deadly weapons though, and with a big yard we have a lot of playing field. Anyway, it helps us stay in shape so that's a plus, it's also incredibly awesome.

Also, it may be dorky, but because of it, my brother is actually scary-strong for a video game nerd... he's like 275 pounds all muscle ._.

Oh god, this is all my friend and I did during recess in elementary school...
Our characters usually changed depending on what season it was and what show we were into at the time....

Fun times...

Those Youtube links made my night.

The closest to LARP'ing I can recall from my childhood is playing Star Wars bounty hunters at recess in elementary school. Someone would put out like, fifty cent "bounties" on random people and the rest of the kids would hunt him/her down for the reward. It was pretty amusing for a while, till one a little... overenthusiastic clubbed another with a rock. We started playing Pokemans and Magic from thereon.

I made my entire world when I lived up at the campground. I had nothing better to do and it was quite large.

What about kinky roleplaying sessions in the bedroom? Do those count? If so, I'm sure many of us would be counted as LARPing anyways.

My friend and I used to LARP (guess I'll just call it that XD) Pokemon stuff.

This is strange to say it with the word LARP in mind, but I guess technically because I go to conventions and such in costume and like acting, hence I try and act like the character, I guess I technically LARP....
Lately it's been Guilty Gear stuff. I've been Faust. I'm not tall at all though.
Very amusing.
Not amusing when you're called Baldy though.
Especially since you can't go "I have hair! D: Look!" And yank off the bag cause turns out you're wearing a baldcap underneath.
*fail*

But yeah, because of that, I guess I technically "still" LARP because of conventions.
It's so weird thinking that. I makes sense too, since LARP stands for "Live Action Role PLaying"
Very very strange.

No fighting though. I'm never up for fighting :\

As long as you're a rapist with a giant scalpel, it should work.
