I think that probably 50% of 4chan is upstanding members of society, considering how many posts that upstanding member of society Friday gets.

I got the impression they had a long-running history of anti-upstanding member of society antics - mass bannings etc.

Nah, I think that's it's mostly just sort of tradition at this point. Like most school rivalries. Of course, there are still batshit-insane people on both sides. Like school rivalries.
