After watching Flash I decided to go on IGN to engage in discussion about the show and the Reverse-Flash stuff. What I found is BS and Trolls talking about DareDevil. Jeez. Keep shit in the right forms guys. At least I learned about more about brie larvan.

I don't follow politics as closely as I should, but the only other candidate I have really heard about at this point (there is still over a year to go) is Ted Cruz, and, well, dillweed.Riku wrote:So unless her primary opponent is a complete dillweed, I wouldn't hold your breath.

My prediction for the weekend: I'm going to argue with both my parents over the fact that I'm an introvert and they can't just bully me into being extrovert.

I have this paranoid fear that my car won't start and I'll be stranded at or unable to get to work.
Hasn't happened yet, but I really wish I could stop worrying about it.

Dude, same here. My car is a 1999 model, it still runs decently good and doesn't have too many miles on it for its age, but the steering is creaky, the brakes are wearing out, and I constantly worry that one day something will randomly fall off or the car just stops running for some reason or another.[Citation Needed] wrote:I have this paranoid fear that my car won't start and I'll be stranded at or unable to get to work.

Doesn't help that I'm not super good with cars and i never remember to do stuff like get the oil changed, or put more air in the tires.

'97 model here. Steering is a little creaky, and I don't know how that would even be fixed or what would cause it. Brakes are just pads, right? Someone who knows about cars? Anyone?
Also hooray for forgetting to change oil! I usually remember after six or ten months or something and then get it "changed" (they drain the residue and lecture me about it). Air: I only add more air when someone tells me my tires look low. Hooray for the terrible at cars club!

If your steering is like mine, you might need more steering fluid. But mine has a leak in it somewhere so I have to refill it often. It'd be better to get the leak fixed but when I took it in they said it would cost a loooooot of cheddar, so.
And I think I usually get an oil change when I take it in for inspection. So like once a year. Dunno if that's the recommended.

it's going to spend a weekend in the shop soon
Brake pads are the most common and simplest to change. Drum shoes have more parts to remove and keep track of, but overall it's not so hard with a guide, either human or literary.[Citation Needed] wrote:Brakes are just pads, right? Someone who knows about cars? Anyone?
Take the wheels off. If you see a caliper over a section of the rotor, it's a disc brake. If you see a large drum covering everything, it's a drum brake. Or, you know, just check your owner's manual or maintenance guide. And don't think that because there's one type on one wheel, there aren't other types on the rest. My truck has pads in the front and shoes in the rear.
If you're talking about your power steering, then eventually that leak is going to get worse until the pump is worthless. At that point, steering is going to feel like the column is filled with half-dry cement. Depending on make/model, the pump shouldn't be too hard to replace yourself. I know it can be scary trying to work on your own vehicle, but it is so much cheaper than paying "labor costs" at a shop.SaintCrazy wrote:If your steering is like mine, you might need more steering fluid. I suggest going to AutoZone or whatever parts store you patronize and find a maintenance guide for your car. It will be full of instructions and picture guides to help you.
Oil should be changed every three months or very 3,000 miles if you buy the cheapest available.SaintCrazy wrote:And I think I usually get an oil change when I take it in for inspection. So like once a year. Dunno if that's the recommended.
My truck is almost as old as I am and just as likely to drop dead soon any day now of total engine/heart failure.

Re: Things that piss you off
What's worse is when kids scream. Their piercing wails can be heard straight through walls and they do it for fun. -____-

I know, my next door neighbors kid does it all the fucking time. I'm seriously contemplating filing a complaint against them for the constant noise

Toddlers are actually the worst. I just don't understand the constant screaming only to test out their own vocal chords. I'm not overly crabby about other people's kids but that is just my biggest pet peeve.

My two oldest siblings are raising families at this point.SaintCrazy wrote:Toddlers are actually the worst. I just don't understand the constant screaming only to test out their own vocal chords. I'm not overly crabby about other people's kids but that is just my biggest pet peeve.
My older brother has two boys, one is 3 years old, the other is almost 1 1/2.
The oldest one does not shut the fuck up at all oh my god. The younger one never makes a single sound and just smiles at everything. If he wants you to play with him, he picks whatever he wants uo and brings it to you and then just smiles and bops it against your leg.
My older sister also has two boys. One of them is 2.5 years old and a total charmer. He knows tricks - "Knuckles!" for fist bumps, and "Look cute!" to get attention from any and all women in the area. He talks and holds conversation (which I hear is impressive at his age), and rarely has the screechy toddler tone. The younger one is like a month old so he cries sometimes because baby.
According to my own mother, I was the quietest child she has ever encountered. I am #4 out of 5 children, plus she helped raise my two cousins and also deals with children of all ages at her job (schoolteacher). Whenever the topic of crying children comes up she always mentions how I never cried. She had thought something was wrong with me because I was dead silent all the time.
I just didn't want to be a bother, I guess.
What I'm saying is children vary in terms of screechiness, from 1 (no noise ever) to 10 (always noise ALL THE TIME OH MY GOD).
Also this was a good excuse to talk about my nephews.

The next time someone tells me that they think my relationship/polyamory is wrong I'm just going to tell them that they probably also once thought that Santa Claus is real.
