Aha! Rejoice! With stupid hot weather comes enjoyable strong storms!

My county is under a severe storm watch (they cut out the radio and television to say it), warning of high wind, high frequency of lightning strikes, and hail the sizes of quarters.

Heat makes me angry, storms make me not angry. This is now the "things that make you neutral" thread.

This super awesome storm apparently missed my town. JUST my town. Five miles to the north they had hail and apocalyptic winds and lightning strikes.

The Slushie Machine of Doom is back at my workplace and it's taking the only spot I could put my laptop on without breaking my back and it increases the temperature by a thousand degrees and its constant noise is drilling holes in my skull and grinding what's left of my brain into warm goo and I still have to suffer the Very Worst Of White People Lovey Love Songs Only radio and I just can't concentrate so I keep making mistakes and I ended up forgetting to turn off the light when I closed and only noticed once I was out and the door was locked from the inside and my boss was probably sleeping and when I got home I tried calling to tell them about it so it doesn't stay on all night but the number I got was wrong and I'll probably spend hours worrying about that instead of sleeping tonight.
I really don't want to spend another summer working there so I think I'm going to try talking with the summer jobs guy at my college and he'll probably insinuate I'm human garbage/a freak of nature because he is a colossal douche and that's what he does.

Failed the written driver's exam.

It was a long walk back and the cold biting wind didn't help.

What sort of questions do they ask on driving tests in Iceland?

Over here it varies from state to state, but in Kentucky it's things like
"You are driving and hear the sirens of an approaching emergency vehicle. Do you:
A. Race
B. Stop where you are
C. Pull over to allow them to pass
D. None of the above"

and

"You are driving and see a small grandmother collapsed in the road. Do you:
A. Mow that granny DOWN
B. Swerve and crash
C. Brake before hitting her, then call for help
D. Drive around her and ignore her"

Written driver's tests in the United States are generally piss-easy, since the focus is more on your actual driving ability. If they're actually difficult in Iceland, I commend your government. But that does stink for you.

I couldn't take the drivers test because I didn't finish Driver's Ed. You have to have so many hours driving with the teacher and he kept trying to pick me up at fucking 6:45 am.

So I was picked to work on the Website for the non-for profit, Plan was that i get control of the site [Editing, updating, the whole shebang]. Well someone went and Edited the site before they gave me the login info. So now i have to reorganize everything, Give the photos proper names, and add the correct info. UGH

woke up this morning with a lovely patch of poison ivy on my forehead

Update: I talked with my boss on my way back home today and it turns out that a) they didn't notice the light was left on and b) it doesn't matter because it's still winter and it won't attract any bugs
