Things that piss you off
Re: Things that piss you off
My aunt is at it again.
She's getting mad at us because she decided that telling only one of us something means that all of us heard about it.
Mom rinsed a few coffee mugs and set them down in the sink to finish washing them later, then my aunt found the mugs and started a whole thing while claiming that the mugs have been sitting there for three days, then getting angry that there wasn't anything set under the faucet to catch the dripping water, which she never told Mom was something that had to be for whatever reason.
Mom locked her out of the room that we're all staying in, having had enough of the constant complaining about everything. She stood at the door and said that we never do anything (even though we offer help constantly, only to be ignored until it's convenient for her to complain about us not doing anything) and started doing thirty-second count downs, claiming that it'd motivate us to get up and start doing things.
We're all really tired of this.

She's apparently gossiping to everyone we know and saying that my panic-attack outburst was because of a cat that's in the room with us (which I have bodaciously no problem with its existence) rather than trying to realize that she's not the omnipotent perfect being she tries to portray herself as.

In our D&D group, I'm the only one with a regular issue every other handful of weekends, yet each week something new pops up keeping us from meeting. Do you really have to help someone move? Because my friends all know I'm unavailable on Saturdays. You have to go to California with your friends? So did I, only I was able to move the plans around when we'd meet. This isn't me persecuting people for having obligations, this is people not committing to when they said they were able to commit.

Re: Things that piss you off
Mom wants me to bring my little brother with me to a family party my friend is inviting me to. Not only is this incredibly rude for her to force me to bring a random guest, when I'm already a random guest at my friend's private family party, but I don't need to be chaperoned by a 10 year old! Just because she thinks I'll end up doing it or whatever with some guy at his house, which will be full of people, is not a good reason for this stupid restriction she's putting on me! I just hate that it's either I do this, or I don't go. That's not fair. I can't reason with her at all.

If possible, could you have the person who invited you inform her that extra guests are not invited? Make it sound like it's an issue of not having enough food or space for extra people?
Maybe also have them say that they can't wait to have you come in case she tries to use the no extras thing as an excuse to keep you from going?

Alternatively, just have your friend drive you to the party. It's not your parents decision.
Or, y'know, whatever.

Yeah, never say 'you're not the boss of me' to Asian parents. Ever.
If anything will get through, it'll be getting the friend's parents to speak to your parents.

im not so much mad now as horribly disappointed
I've tried doing all these things before for different occasions. I told her that the parents truely want me to come, and she was incredulous of me. I was thinking of my friend picking me up and driving there, but not only would the consequences be bad, but it would also inconvenience him a lot. He lives 30 minutes away, and it's at his house, so he'd be driving here and back, and possibly be taking me home too. I wouldn't want to put him out of his way just for me.. And I'd get my friend's dad to speak with her, but I don't really know him that well. I've only met him once, and he was nice enough to invite me to lunch with them and his brothers, but I also pretty sure he thinks I'm his son's girlfriend.
And the last time I've tried getting my used to be long time friend's mom to talk to her, she got really really mad at me. Saying how embarrassing and improper it was for me to make my friend's mom do that. (It wasn't even my idea, though. My friend and his mom thought it up.)
But anyway, I guess it's no use. I just got a flat out "no" since my big brother can't come with me (as originally planned), and I refuse to take my little brother. (Original plan was my big brother just drops me off, and we tell mom he went with me.)
I'm still gonna try really hard to go. Maybe if I clean up more it'll be okay. I've been looking forward to this for about, 3 weeks? He invited me very in advance because he knew I worked and so my parents would have a heads up. Three weeks ago mom was okay with it.. But then again, I wonder if I should be trying so hard. It's not like he specifically invited only me, I think. He said he invited other friends too. But I think it's important to him that I go, especially since he invited me a long while ago.

Re: Things that piss you off
Yeah, I'm 19. Well other than me being pretty much grounded anyway, I have no real means of going because I don't have a license. I'd ask my friend, but I really don't wanna put him out of his way. And my Dad and big brother taking me are unlikely because they usually side with my mom. Plus, it'd just make her hate me more, and make the rest of the family dislike me more. I don't think I want that. It would give her more reason to stop me from going out to anything else in the future.
Might even give her reason to kick me out like she's been thinking about doing. Which would be okay, if I could drive, have my own car, have sufficient funds for more than a month at an apartment, and have enough cheddar to go to college. I also don't want my family to hate me. Despite all of this, I still have the weird need to be liked by them.

Yeah, thats textbook emotional abuse right there. My recomendation is that you get the fuck out of there as soon as possible, because that kind of family environment is incredibly toxic and can cause serious psychological problems if allowed to go on.

not rustled off anymore just kinda stressed
Plot twist: It was my dad preventing me from going the whole time. He doesn't like that I have only been hanging out with guy friends, (who are my only close friends) and that I'm going to a guy's house. But mom was okay with the idea. And so I called dad and talked to him and reasoned out all the things I've done alone. (i.e. leave work at 1 AM and walk down the long dark road to the security station by myself) And that I am fully capable of handling myself and not doing anything bad, especially since his family's gonna be there. Mom's going to take me and pick me up, and will probably walk me to the door and talk to my friend and his dad, but that's okay because I'm going! Woo! This was really stressful and I'll probably eat all the cookies I made. ;w;

Mission accomplished!
A few years back on my first international trip I met a bunch of people who wanted to play Xbox with me [didn't have one yet]. Then when i do get one a month later no one gave a crap. Now I start getting PMs to get a PS4, you know so we could "Stay in touch better". At least my close friends share the same systems with me.
