eugh ive had that happen. luckily it was pointless stuff, like some coloured contacts and a dog tag, but i know how absolutely frustrating it is. during christmas i sent a friend their christmas present and it was almost an entire week late and i was FREAKING OUT. luckily it was just holiday traffic, but still.

speaking of which i think i still have those contacts...i never wore them and now i can't because i have astigmatism and normal contacts give me headaches. anyone want em? they're solid pastel PANK and kind of terrifying. would be good for halloween.

I live in a shady neighborhood and I'm always worried about that. People have even stolen things off clotheslines.

Eugh, dad is such a sack of shit. He's always gotta try and force his way, never listens and has just gotta be a big asshole about everything.
I am so glad he has no control over my life anymore, first it was horrible because he got me every other weekend, then he constantly used the phone he gave me as leverage, then it was bullshit about him keeping me on his insurance, even though that was his choice.

Ugh I just want to find a job so I can move on with my fucking life.

Like, I send out the applications, I call people up, what the fuck else can I do but sit here and be useless? Oh I could take care of those random other life goals I have - oh wait, those require a source of income.

And why is it that every application I've sent out just disappears into the abyss? Why post the job if you're not going to actually hire someone? And if you don't want to hire me, just fuckin' tell me so I can try to find more places.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Good luck getting a job without experience or nepotism, especially if you live in the states.

especially if you went to college. apparently i can't get a retail job because i have a degree so i'm overqualified and also underqualified because i've never worked a retail job because i couldn't get one when i was a teenager because they all require experience which i don't have and can't get because i cAN'T GET A JOB

i've given up in all honesty. that's why i'm learning C++ so i can just get a real job again because working at petsmart or whatever isn't going to happen lol. annoying because honestly something like part-time retail will be perfect because i don't want to work full-time in the first place and i don't really want a whole lot of cheddar just enough to buy dog food and magic cards. my husband makes enough cheddar to feed us and keep us comfortable and he gives me cheddar but it'd be nice to not be stuck here doing nothing all day and not have to have him give me an allowance

HEY MOM, IT'D BE GREAT IF YOU COULD PLEASE STOP TREATING ME LIKE I'M STUPID AND INEPT AT EVERYTHING I DO. I KNOW A SCAM ARTIST WHEN I HEAR ONE, THAT'S WHY I DIDN'T GIVE HIM ANY FUCKING PERSONAL INFORMATION

Can I ask what sort of jobs you've got your eye on while you're learning C++? I've been thinking of getting into coding myself, I took a couple programming classes my first couple years in college so I think it'd be cool and useful, I do love computers. I don't have any experience in any IT settings though. :U

And yeah I'm thinking about looking at a nearby mall to see who's hiring there... but retail jobs... ehh..

actually im looking to get into PHP/SQL, but according to my husband (who is an everything programmer,) C++ is a good way to get the basics and basis of programming before throwing myself headlong into a database system, and most PHP/SQL classes like at colleges expect you to already know basics like loops/arrays/etc and C++ makes it easy to learn that.

I went to college for 3D animation, but something about this yeah a lot of people I know have been having reawakenings, haha. My previous job was in web design and I was pretty daisies good at it; I've been writing HTML/CSS for upwards of 10 years, and PHP people are in high demand. I might take some classes as the community college this summer/fall, but I'm pretty much going into this knowing I won't be working for at least another year because I just don't know enough.

WHY is Charron so angry with me?! I didn't do anything! Now I have to go back to an old save from before I found those like 20 map markers in the wastes. UGH

I sure do love freezing my butt off at 6 am because someone is paranoid. Yep, I didn't even want to stay in that warm bed and get some much needed sleep.

I've found that a surprising number of people who claim some group of people to be "close-minded idiots who think that they can't ever be wrong" are the type of people who, if they were asked by a child, "I know what you are but what am I?", you would consider the child's question to be profoundly thought-provoking and stand around waiting for an answer with genuine wonder and curiosity.

This isn't working right and I can't figure out why it isn't working. I know the professor must have covered how to prevent this, but I can't remember. ARghhhh.

I lost my headset. And all the charge cords. Fortunately it's the easier part of the thing to find, but I swear I saw it just a few days ago. God daisies it.
