HELLO THERE, I am sorry I did not see this conversation before, but now that I have let me address your concerns.

Yes, your thread was in fact closed because it was 1) not constructive and 2) unnecessary. While we have had threads created for minor topics and unnecessary subjects in the past, we let them pass if the creator puts effort into their thread (because really, what's the fun of forcing everyone to post in all of 8 threads?). Your thread's starting post did not contain more than "Post about cats". Generally if you're looking to create a thread, you will also contribute to it! If you would like to re-create the thread with these guidelines in mind, let us know and we can work with you.

That aside, if you're wishing to make a home here, I would advise you to drop this passive-aggressive attitude. Our members fit into a wide age range, but we expect all of them to act like adults. Numerous times you have directly insulted our members and you will only receive so many verbal warnings.

You have already been told that if you have a problem with anyone on the forum to come to a moderator. Please keep this in mind next time before you insult someone in your next post.

The professors for my computer science class sure are taking their sweet time getting grades out. Final grades are due tomorrow and my final exam still hasn't be scored.

At least my projects went well. Apparently, if your project stopped working at any point in execution, the grading script wouldn't deduct points for the things it hadn't checked yet, so a bunch of students were told they'd received 90+ on the projects but actually got failing grades.

assassins creed black flag is fine up until you have to do story shit or the out of animus portions. holy fuck is tailing people irritating with the fucking broken sightline and stealth system. that and even if youre RIGHT ON TOP of someone the fucking OOOH THEY'RE GETTING AWAY timer pops up. you bodaciously have to be hanging off their back like a fucking monkey. the out of animus shit is annoying because NO ONE CARES about the dumb shit there. no one bought black flag for the grating templars r evil huhuhuhuhuh sideline. at the very least, make it so your character doesnt just walk at a snails pace with that annoying as fuck hacker blaring in your ear the SUPER EDGY BAD GUY talk. its not foreboding, all it is is eyerollingly annoying.

I agree on the trailing thing, I enjoy the real time stuff. Gives a purpose you know? I got annoyed that some of the unlockables are for some events. It ticks me off that I can see the item but can't get it.

no there are these cosmetic things like an outfit, sword, and sails, that can't be unlocked unless you do some challenge that ended a month after release date. And it ticks me off that i can't get em.

I kinda found comfort in the idea that they're at least moving further and further away from the plot line in the present. I mean, they already "did the thing" that they were supposed to do in the present. I can see them including it for the ingrates who will refuse not to point it out as a plothole, but they still should be moving away from it. I didn't play the one in France, though, so I don't know what they did, if anything, about the present shenanigans there.

I liked the Assassin's Creed series simply because it promised, and delivered, reasonably diverse historical settings. The present day plotline has, at least for me, always been an excuse to allow all of these stories to be strung together. But I don't think that's really necessary anymore. They can keep the overarching Templar-Assassin conflict, but I'd like to explore Assassins or even Templars who aren't directly related to any of the walking gods that we've been playing as.

As for AssCreed Black Flag, I'm with Dark. It's a fantastic pirate game that gets hamstrung by being an AssCreed game.

Id love it if more secret societies got added. Like, the Illuminati (if you believe the loonies) nearly wiped out the Templars, so I don't see why they couldn't play a part in present day assassin stuff.

Of course, this could also just be me wanting another Deus Ex game already. That game did the secret society shit PERFECT. I loved the lore and story there, secret society stuff is hella interesting to me. Asscreed just somehow makes it a boring trudge, mainly I think because they throw this cool historical freerunning ninja action at you and then "STOP THE PRESSES HOLD THE HORSES WE GOTTA LUMBER SOME DIPSHIT KID AROUND SOME ~SECRET ALIEN FUTURE/PRESENT AI~", or "ADVENTURES IN SOME DUMBSHIT NEW EMPLOYEE WHO IS SUPER FUCKIN GULLIBLE".
