Apparently he just decided yesterday that it's happening Friday. I had to hear from our mother, who is also angry about the lack of notice or planning. I doubt sincerely that he has even mentioned it to our dad. So if he doesn't think it's worth hearing from him directly, then it's not important enough for me to be there.

Also, I have New Year's Day off and it's a paid holiday, but only if I work Wednesday and Friday. Taking off Friday means losing two days' worth of pay.

So, for both of those reasons.

Scheduling a wedding with guests at such short notice is a real dick move yeah

if he was eloping it wouldn't be as much of an issue but for a ceremony with guests and I'm assuming a minister, chapel/other place, and a reception? How is he going to even find people who are willing to work with him at such short notice to arrange it

Congratulations, AquaBat, you somehow managed to be rustled off by your own self.

When I'm trying to convey a point to someone, and they plug their ears in to block out my speech.

When someone mispronounces Cockfighting Society like Po-kee-man or Po-kee-mon... and say it's okay because "it's the AMERICAN pronunciation." I get if someone was basing their pronunciation off that announcer for the animé on Cartoon Network or their cousin or someplace, but I mean--I mean there's an accent on the e and "o" does NOT MAKE AN "A" SOUND. I mean COME ON.
Also when someone responds to a perfectly normal and relatively polite question with complete and utter rudeness.
Banana bread. It doesn't exactly make me mad, but I just hate the stuff.

PM a mod instead of passive aggressively posting about it here.

If I had to guess, it'd be because it might have been seen as unnecessary, not leading to anything constructive, a joke, or all three.

No offense, but it was a pretty unnecessary thread. You could just discuss your love for cats in either the main thread or the cute stuff thread.

Marcato's also correct.

I am pretty certain it was neither of those three.
