I gotta learn to stay away from the Le Comic section. Too many people getting pushy about inconsequential things in a video game webcomic.

I just go there because I want to make edits, but rarely have a good idea for one and just end up posting anyways.

I might stab something if I see another Dedede joke in Le Comic. That shit got old real fast.

I have a bad feeling something like that is going to happen again at some point, and then it'll be even worse

It'd be nice if putting someone in your blacklist made it so their posts don't mark a thread as unread.
But yeah those puns and forced memes are bottom of the barrel non-humor.

Then they use their oh so amazing photoshop skill to make edits out of it and it gets worse

The older ones are just as bad, by the way, I don't care if they're "staples" of the forum, they're still not funny, another "Gas Dad" or Miranda's butt or Entei edit and I might just blacklist everyone
What's worse is when newer users latch onto the old jokes and keep them going, like some kind of reverse-parasite, but worse

The problem is that they're mostly children. The best way to make them stop is to just yell that it's not funny at them until they stop, but I personally can't bring myself to do that because I was the same way as a kid in my first forums.

I sure am glad I didn't start perusing and posting in forums until I was in high school. That probably saved me looooots of embarrassment.



Yeah I dunno the old comic memes like 'gas' and 'dominion rod' edits and 'entei' are kind of cute I guess...but in the way that a child picking their goobery runny nose is cute

The thing with comic edits, even the overdone ones, is that they have to actually be done right, and most of the people making edits now (I would be making them if i could actually stand to scroll through the same image emptyquote 4 times in a row) don't do it properly and instead shove it into a random panel and call it a day.

Yes I am dictating how people should do humor, what of it.

Also the endless stream of Nowi edits turned me off to editing entirely from how fucking gross they are.

My first edit was a Nowi edit derived from someone elses edit before it became something posted 10 times per thread, and it's still my favorite self-edit



It's also my only Nowi edit.

If this is a bad place to discuss edits I will stop

I tried changing a single parameter and then my system permanently destroyed the skin I've been working on for six months. I deleted my backups minutes before it happened and the only online snapshot I had is so old I might as well just start over.

Man, I'm glad most of you guys feel the same way I do about the Le comic form.

Anyway, I want to go see The Book of Life tomorrow, but the closest theater to campus isn't showing it, and the only theater with evening showings isn't reachable via bus. I'm seriously thinking about leaving physics early just to see it at 4 o clock at the third theater, which only has 3 showings but I can get to it via bus.

I'm also rustled that none of the three are showing Dear White People.

Book of Life is the best animated movie since Wreck it Ralph, totally worth checking out. Legitimately God-tier soundtrack, Kinky AND Cafe Tacvba? Hell fucking yes.
