If your parents are going to hold you ransom, I think if possible it would be best to look into alternatives, such as having someone else like a grandparent co-sign or getting a straight bank loan. Otherwise you're just using dirty cheddar, and they WILL use every opportunity they can to manipulate you with it.

I was in a similar situation a few years ago; landed an actual office job that wasn't fast food grunt work, and my mother decided that threatening to not let me use the car to go to that job (and therefore losing it) was appropriate punishment. Even though I knew it would eventually blow over, I just straight walked out the second I heard that, ended up in low income housing for a bit, and had my old boss from when I was a waiter drive me to the first day of work and ended up getting a used car the afternoon after my first day. It's a hard road, but was worth it, and definitely would not have been worth risking losing my standing in life based on the whim of another persons mood.

It stands to reason that I'd go to CVS because my family has a Caremark plan but the nearest CVS is far away from any shuttle stop and I don't have a car nor a full license to drive one

Also I really don't want to go to my design class because we're peer-reviewing our WIP projects and I have honestly no clue where I'm going with mine

Welcome to the past 6 years of my life. Except for book/movie/game ideas. And also not actually trying to work on it after about a month.

Bonus: the idea for one potential series came to me in a dream. My uncontrollable dream laid out most of things, but actively trying to think it out feels like it gets me nowhere.

Went to Gamestop today to buy Smash Bros for 3DS.

They're out, but the lady said the Nintendo Eshop's having a sale, and she can sell me a $35 prepaid card, which should be enough for the game.

Get home.

Input card.

No fucking sale.

Called them back.

"I'm extremely sorry."

Hangs up.

Never trust people claiming eShop sales before going in and checking yourself. A sale on release day? Highly unlikely.

That woman is nuts though. I would say it was a sales ploy but Smash is more than 35 bucks. Maybe they had to get rid of some stock?

I don't know. Maybe she was thinking of something else. There were 40% off sales going on until yesterday, apparently, but those were for other games.

Yup, there were sales for weeks leading up to the release of Smash.

Gaaaaaaah trying out new meds and this one is really expensive because it's not available in generic.
