I'm a fucking idiot and ruined my C++ code by adding copying/pasting it into/from a rich text document and I have no clue how to fix it yay.

Is the indentation screwed up, or is the code all mixed up, or does it just not compile anymore?
If it's the last one, pasting it might have added invisible characters. Try opening your code in Notepad++ and making it display every character (in View->Show symbols).

Even then what good does punishment do? What, do they expect "oh gosh I'm sorry I'll come back to Jesus gimme my loans back!" because somehow I don't think that'd work, for you or them.

If they cared about your spirituality that much wouldn't they be trying to win you back? Something is amiss here. I'd guess that they think you're going through a 'rebellious' phase or something. If I were you I'd try talking to them again (assuming you haven't been for whatever reason) and see what it is they really want from you. It doesn't make sense for parents to just cut off their own kids even if they disagree over big stuff like this.

Marcato, would it be rude if I said your parents are not what I'd call "good parents" ? I had a friend who was in the same situation, and ... his parents just said "well, it's your decision, and even if it's not what we wished for you we can respect that". Maybe it's cultural. Anyway be strong, man, don't let them intimidate you.
