Yeah, letting it happen is only a viable choice if you dont have any dependants. If he has a kid... well, he's going to have to fight like a madman.

Actually now that you say it that's strange coming from him not to fight for his kid. I'll talk to him about that.

October's coming up. A lot of halloween events in vidya gaems.

A lot of bitterness from me over there being no halloween in Iceland (even if it makes sense for there not to be).

None here either, not for lack of trying from the stores mind you.

There is Halloween everywhere where I live... except on Halloween. :shakefist: No one goes out Trick-or-Treating anymore. I have not had any children visit my house in at least a decade, despite having several neighbors with kids.

There are still some kids that trick-or-treat in my neighborhood but october gets so cold most of the time that it's just no fun to be wandering around outside for an hour or two. I prefer doing halloween parties with my friends. In a heated house.

...i wonder if kids trick or treat in my new apartment complex, since there's actual families that live there and not a ton of college kids. I hadn't thought about it.

Like i needed another excuse to buy candy.

Wondering the same thing. However I do not need the temptation of candy in this apartment, so chances are I'm gonna keep my door locked and not answer if anyone knocks.

Because Halloween isnt an organic part of our culture. Halloween in the US developed from settlers, and sort of grew on its own. Attempting to transplant that into a different culture didnt work. Which kind of sucks, because Sweden REALLY needs a holiday during fall. One that you actually want to celebrate. We have one, but its not celebrated per se, and is mostly meant for solemn contemplation of the dead, like Day Of the Dead in Mexico except not fun, depressing as hell and while its pitch dark outside.

As Stranger said, wasn't really part of our culture.

Iceland tried to sort of compensate for it by having a holiday in February where kids dress in costumes, go to shops or gas stations(no grocery stores of course) and sing for candy. Plenty of kids tend to like it but I consider it an absolute shit of a holiday.

No decorations, kids get mocked by the clerks, no celebration from the adults, so it really pales in comparison.

When people forget how much work and cheddar it is to develop and make a game and constantly bitch for more stuff. Especially if it's really minor stuff that doesn't effect game play at all. That's just a lot of work, time, and cheddar spent on almost nothing.

There's also deadlines to consider, even if they have to push the deadline, they'll probably end up doing a rush job trying to fit stuff in, debug and get the game out at a reasonable date. I'd honestly rather have a well polished game with what the game needs, than a buggy rush job with everyone's hopes and dreams.

I'm not much into alcohol so it wouldn't matter much to me but I know my dad and brother would love having it.

So I might be mildly allergic to penicillin.

I've been mildly itchy all week but it didn't really stand out to me until yesterday, when the goddang palms of my hands started swelling and itching. I was actually freaking out before my dad suggested to me that it might be a drug reaction. I took more today and lo and behold, the itchy palms returned soon after ingestion.

I have to keep taking this stuff for at least a few more days. God dang it.
