I promise that I'm not trying to be mean, but if that's really your response to our suggestions, then why did you bother directly asking us for advice in the first place? It sounds like you already had an answer that you wanted hugbox reassurance on. We won't give you that, but we will tell you the options that we think will be the best for your physical, mental, and emotional health.

I've been in countless abusive relationships in the past. Ignoring the other person's abusiveness and only focusing on the nice things they do isn't going to improve things. You're just going to keep resenting them more and more but you won't feel like you can cut it off either out of guilt or obligation or whatever other reason.

Bring it to the surface sooner rather than later, before things explode.

My entire IP range, both mobile and broadband, has been banned from 4chan. The collateral damage is massive.

What? Why?

A few dedicated shitposters most likely. The mobile ban happened last year and now pretty much everyone with my ISP in roughly the same region is banned completely. Sent an email to moot but if he ever answers, it'll most likely be in the form of "buy a pass."

Edit: the broadband ban has been lifted. I tried posting with my mobile connection as well and at first it gave me an outdated "you have been banned" message pointing to some post on /a/ (the joys of dynamic IPs) which it had never done before but after that it gave me the regular IP range ban message. But hey, progress.

it has happened three times now

My commute to and from work would be greatly improved without the higher-than-zero chance of yellowjackets slamming into my open window and scaring the shit out of me.

All I'm going to say on this topic is that unhealthy relationships are a cycle, and "not happening constantly" is not a good justification for bad things happening, regardless of how frequent they happen. The bottom line is that if there is some consistent problem occurring and you're not comfortable addressing them, but feel it is significant enough of a problem to bring up, there is something not working in the cogs of the relationship.

Off topic, I have a code review meeting starting at 7:30am tomorrow because of India time zones, which is going to suck, and have somewhere to be after work until likely 11pm. So I'll be headed to bed right when I get home seeing as I am absolutely terrible at sleeping, waking up, or getting well rested even on days I have off and go to bed at a reasonable time. Part of me thinks it's just anxiety, but I'm debating on seeing someone about it (a sleep specialist?) considering the bags under my eyes are starting to get ridiculous.

Whenever I try to write on a greeting card for someone's birthday or graduation or whatever, I can never come up with anything. I'm worried about whether or not this or that thing that I write will seem like it's sappy or fake.

i have a condition which means i'm either freezing cold all the time or boiling hot. at the moment i'm freezing cold and i got to buy myself a electric blanket or a portable heater because apparently wanting the heating turned on is a waste of cheddar and i'm being selfish and i'm not thinking of anyone else. i'm being selfish by having a health problem which has affected me for years and years! family!

The junebugs around here get to a pretty hefty size. A lot of people are absolutely terrified of 'em, but I've found they make quite the satisfying thump on a windshield.

God I hate junebugs. If only because they slam into my bedroom window and make it sound like kids are throwing rocks at it. They're also one of those dumb bugs that have a tendency to just fly straight into you as you're walking, like those giant grasshoppers that show up earlier in the summer.

I was on a really harsh flight the other day. Real bad turbulence in the last hour or so and the hardest landing possible. It was also already delayed an hour by the time I got on.
