Things that piss you off

Work for the last two days has consisted of digging ditches and shit else. The property is going to be used for several apartment complexes and, if I remember correctly, the building we're currently burying PVC for has 24 apartments. There's one good difference between this and most other slab work, and that's the fact that we are working before the plumbers and can use a backhoe to dig the main trenches. But even with that help, this is a four-day job instead of one because of the sheer size of the building and amount of pipes so I will most definitely be going back tomorrow.

I nodded off twice while typing this.

First sunny day in nearly a month so there were bikes everywhere on the way home. Half of them were decent human beings and stayed out of the road. The other half formed big packs that ate up a whole lane. Half of these had enough brains to get into a single line and go further on the side (some even went to (gasp) the other side of the white line). The remaining quarter stayed in huge packs even after they saw me being stuck between two packs because I had to reenter my lane because another car just appeared on the other side of the road and I couldn't see it coming before attempting to go past the first pile of shitheads because the whole road is made of dangerous curves and then when one of these idiots has an accident they blame car drivers for being so irresponsible and insensitive and augh I just can't deal with humans

Ugh did not get enough sleep. I also hate that lightheadedness you get when you're really sleep deprived.

i saw a really stupid comment by this guy who looked like he was in his 30s bitching about his 10th grade crush but then insisting he wasn't mad or bitter right at the end

and then i saw nothing but other stupid comments saying how they felt bad for the guy and hoped the girl was poor and lived in a trailer park, etc and the guy joining in and agreeing

hey, cool it's nice to see you going on about how beautiful this girl was and how you do anything for her but then you'd go and turn around and hope these things on her like somehow being poor or not living in a house makes her a terrible person and you're lucky for never getting to date her.

also aren't 10th graders usually like 16 years old? that's really creepy.

Yeah, I had trouble hearing for a couple days after the show last week.

My arms are getting toasty from all the sun I'm getting this week. I got a stupid Panama Jack hat on the cheap to keep my face protected. One more day on this slab, at least. The worst part isn't the work, it's being completely helpless because I don't know the details of laying this goddamn pipe out and stubbing it up so I'm basically spending half the day running around grabbing shit for the guys who know what they're doing.

I can't just put them in with my Promo cards because I don't know what to put first, as long as there's still Pokemon games there's gonna be more half decks and more Promos

Work has been making me rage mega hard this week. Started off Monday when I discovered my manger ordered extra stock that I didn't want. My usual orders are around 30 cartons. He ordered an extra 67 cartons. Pretty much everyday other than Tuesday I came into a mess, dishes not washed, benches not wiped, stock not put out.

I had Friday off and then came back today to find out he sent an order early, an order I had queued to arrive next Monday, instead it came in today along with today's and Sunday's delivery meaning I received 3 days worth of stock in one day. Add to that the fact that Friday's stock hadn't been put out so I was essentially working through 4 days worth of stock. So much stock it didn't actually all fit in my freezer room.

I spent the first two hours of my shift in a rage induced adrenalin frenzy. Madly trying to get all the stock out on the shop floor so people could actually buy it. Because if they don't buy it, we get stuck with it. Hence why I cracked it with my manger for ordering that extra stock on Monday. Because I knew that he would make no effort to work that extra stock. It would just sit there, in my way, which it did, all week. I don't even care if it actually sells, truth be told. So long as it's not in my way.

I've since calmed down but I'm refusing to do any more of the ordering because it's a waste of my time to order stock accordingly only to have my manager carelessly add to it or send it at the wrong time. For shit's sake, the order was even named with the date and time it had to be sent.

Pullcord to the lawnmower broke. Ended up punching myself in the face and breaking the lawnmower in one swift movement.
Day's off to a great start.

Walk around the yard with scissors while making lawnmower noises. No one will even be able to tell the difference.

Maybe try to inconspicuously redirect the orders so you get the stock you need, and whatever your manager ordered gets sent to his own house

Unless your work place is directly connected with his house or it gets you fired (in which case it's a thing to keep in mind whenever you want to quit)

It's all massively automated, with specific programs used to process our orders at the distribution centre. otherwise I would probably just cancel his orders and ensure mine turn up on the right day.

But I left a polite note telling him I couldn't handle the responsibility.
