Re: Things that piss you off
I updated my tablet to Windows 8.1 , and now it's running on my Microsoft account instead of a local profile, and it's not letting me change anything.
I don't want to fucking use this being constantly logged in, and I definitely don't want to use my fucking complicated password every time I start the tablet up, jesus fuck

Re: Things that piss you off
Came in to work today just to be berated by the guy who works the shift before me (who continually says "I'm not the supervisor"). Apparently the person who told me that we close the gates at 10 was wrong, we're meant to close them when it gets dark. It's an understandable point of confusion, but that doesn't stop the guy from throwing the "Post Order" packet at me (figuratively) and threatening me with "retraining". He also needed to note the fact that I won't immediately stand at attention whenever a resident comes by, and that I'm "not authorized personal equipment (my ipad, which I use to play music (because I'm apparently using it to ignore residence and flip visitors off))" When I told him about how I was told about closing them at 10, he says "Then you need to call this guy!" I did, the guy was totally chill. Turns out things aren't that much of a world ending emergency so long as you're able to explain what your thought processes are. I told him about the confusion and he was fine considering it meant the problem was solved. He also holds the philosophy that personal electronics are fine so long as your job performance doesn't suffer, meaning the rules written on paper are designed to be more strict than how things are actually run (you know, like normal? in case anyone gets the idea to abuse the relaxed version of the rules?)
But that's fine, I can stop trying to be pleasant when around you. I learned not to buy that "I'm being this way for your benefit." bullcrap from the military.
EDIT: Speaking of which, just how common is this issue I can't help but feel is happening, where your higher ups will be super rustled off at you for something you think is perfectly fine, but not tell you about it until it becomes an emergency? I've been hesitating to close the gates until 10 since I started working here a good month and a half ago, and it JUST NOW became an emergency. That's just poor communication. It's not like I'm blatantly trying to break the rules because fuck you. I can be reasoned with...when provided with adequate communication of the issue.
I mean...
"Hey, do you know you're supposed to close the gate when it gets dark?"
"Not at 10?"
"No, when it gets dark."
"Oh, shit, I thought it was 10. I'll start closing it when it gets dark."
...yeah.

The power went out for a second, and when I turned my computer back all the tabs I had in Firefox were gone.
This whole fucking week has been frustrating.

Requested a day off. Got stuck with a shift that day just short of 7 hours so I get cheated out of a second break.
The rest of my shifts are 4 hours.

My tape transfer technique for a painting didn't work because my printer uses the wrong kind of ink.
Edit: Now I'm ever more angry.
I fucking hate anti-vaxxers. This person could have made a lot of people very sick. I'm so glad I'm vaccinated.

When my tablet stops working at some point, it's not going to be of old age or anything, but me biting or wrestling it to pieces.

Welp I've got PANK eye and my ears are so stopped up that I can't lie down to get deep sleep. : ) I've done a lot this morning to ease up my sinuses and nothing has helped.
I got a little over 3 hours of sleep and when I got up to go sit on the couch I kept having sound hallucinations. Thankfully that stopped.

i bought appetite suppressors and sometimes they work and sometimes they don't
they cost £25 and you have to take 6 a day. i've only been taking them for a day or two and i'm already nearly half way through the pack
what a fucking waste of cheddar
i haven't even lost weight either

Re: Things that piss you off
Well you're not going to lose noticeable weight after just 2 days. unless you're like, super heavy where it's a shock to your system (which you aren't).
Instead of buying appetite suppressants, try eating things with a lot of fiber in them, like apples and broccoli, and if you drink water with most granola bars, rice, or oatmeal, they'll kind of expand. My non-doctor guess would be that your eating isn't just hunger, but a response to your anxiety problems. If that's the case, chemical appetite suppressants won't help, even if they normally would without the added stress (they usually don't).
What is more likely to help if the anxiety scenario is true, is to see a doctor, and mention that specific problem and see what they think is a healthy solution to your potential overeating.
Also remember, activity is just as important as diet when you're trying to get to/maintain a healthy weight.

Re: Things that piss you off
Need to stress what Riku said about not losing weight after 2 days. Most people give up on things because they don't get instant gratification. It takes time to lose/gain weight. It's also not about how often you eat, but what it is that you're eating.
I'd recommend reading this. It's mainly about weightlifting, but there are some useful health tips in there.

When I'm tired I tend to feel more depressed. I got hardly any sleep last night.

Re: Things that piss you off
If you don't handle being alone well, leaving the TV or music on constantly usually helps. It's wasteful, but it helps.
Go on a walk
draw a cute cat (or maybe a bear, a la princess brothel)
listen to music at a volume that you want, but would normally get told to turn it down
Have a dance party with your cats (doubles as excercise). They won't judge you.
Try to come up with or find a new, healthy recipe for dinner.
Watch a movie you've never seen, with the sound muted and a different set of music playing and then make up dialogue to go with the scenes and new soundtrack.
There are plenty of things to distract yourself with. Just gotta figure out what you want to do.

Great, the daisies surge protector in the kitchen is busted. I was half done brewing my coffee and now it tastes like shit, I was also in the middle of boiling water to soak my ankle in but I guess I can toss that out the window. Shit man what a way to start the day.
