That seems to happen to a lot of women if we don't speak with an obviously feminine accent.

Idk if it's just me but it seems like mics and telephones make everyone's voices sound a little deeper.

I've got a bit of a hick accent, so that gets me a lot of flak when I use a mic. I've gotten to where I don't even use it most the time.

My voice sounds somewhat masculine over any sort of recording. I cringe whenever I hear it on video. I'm not as self-conscious about it as I used to be, I'm not super feminine in a lot of other respects anyway.

Doesn't help that I've already got a fairly low voice a lot of the time (I can pretty easily sing down to a D3). I can speak with a higher voice, but it's usually only when I'm around kids or Sloth. But it just kind of fluctuates all over the place when I'm not paying attention.
