My knees decided to turn to spaghetti when I wanted to leave the bed, which resulted in my falling over, nearly knocking my head on my closet, but scraping my foot over the ledge of the bed.

Apart from removing skin, a part is bleeding, and from my ankle to nearly my toes shit's swollen and hurts like hell. And we needed to go grocery shopping today.

That'd be pretty nice

It'd be really nice if people would stop assuming they know what's the best way for me to deal with my major when they don't even know the situation.

Gotta work by myself because mom didn't get a power supply to replace the one that busted for the other computer.
Eugh I hope today isn't too busy.

Loud party in the neighborhood. For some reason, other people having more fun than I am is incredibly irritating

Hey, just think of that cat like Mothra. Even if it dies, it's children will carry on its legacy.

except they aren't born yet and even if they were born they would undoubtedly have it as well. also, probably every cat in this neighbourhood has it (it's passed through the saliva so even grooming one another can transmit it,) so any cats i would trap for a TNR program will probably just need to be euthanized as well.

so not a good day for animal activist shazza

I fail to see how a comment about "well at least there will still be the kittens" is bad.

Yeah, I don't know what leukemia is. I guess I should have looked that up before saying anything.

Alright, Barabba. Auntie Riku is giving you an Opinion Cookie before dinner. Forgive the lack of sweetness; it's got bran, but it's good for you.

you have this amazing habit of saying otherwise harmless things in stupid ways. I get that most of the time, you're trying to be funny, but maybe you should start actually thinking ahead to possible reactions about your posts. Particularly things that are aimed at someone specific. Those ones will be easiest to determine "hmm, will target person actually think this is funny/cool? Should I reword it? Should I refrain from posting on this subject entirely?"

I'm not trying to tell you to stop postan 4evar. And honestly, in this very specific case, I don't think that Mothra comment is -quite- as terrible "What the shit" as Winchester's reaction would indicate. Shazza didn't seem too ruffled by it (but she's a saint), But I have certainly been in her position of reading your posts and going "dude, what the hell?". It would have been better to post differently, if at all. Asking instead, "Well will the kittens at least be okay" would have been a far better way to respond about the same information. Again, I understand that you were trying to put some humor into the situation, but there are some situations (and deliveries) where that doesn't come across helpful, it can come across as tactless, sarcastic or mocking.

I've noticed a general pattern of posting like a kid with no filter who hasn't out-grown the "lol randum" phase of his internet usage yet. Which isn't inherently bad, it's just not preferred here.

This last part here is directed at anyone as a general PSA: Please know that users around here expect everyone to act older than 12 (for any actual 12-year-olds, pretty sure there's a requested age limit upon registration for that reason). If you find that you consistently hear the same complaint about being immature in various ways (note that "lol randum" frequently equates to that when said by the locals), try either looking at your forum behaviour to see what needs to be changed (I understand that this is a greater challenge for certain individuals than others), or maybe just take a break for a week or so. Use the free time that you would normally use on the forum to read a book or go outside or go spelunking in that hellish cave of untold obstacles that you call "under the bed". When you come back, try to make a habit of thinking about your posts before you post them. Yeah, it'll take more time, but you'll enjoy it more without everyone jumping at you every time you make a bad post (not to say that users should be just going around a verbally bitchslapping anyone who doesn't fit their idea of the perfect forumite).

I do apologize for my comments being a bit harsher than the should have been. I've been a little pissy today and my patience was a lot lower than usual.

Oh, I wasn't saying that you reacted poorly. I get the frustration. I just didn't have quite as severe of a reaction myself. Which is a rad example of not everyone reacting the same way to things. Just because you think it's funny/cool doesn't mean someone else will. The same thing goes for the negative equivalents; rage-inducing/tragic.

Also, not to pick on you here, Barabba, but how does someone living in the first world NOT know what leukemia is by the time they're old enough to read the word? This is a serious question. Even if you haven't known anyone with it personally, books, movies and TV dramas practically have that be the go-to illness for their ~tragic~ characters.
