Things that piss you off
Re: Things that piss you off
Had my first migraine in months earlier, took a nap on the couch and woke up 2 hours later and now I'm not tired even though I should have gone to bed hours ago. I hate migraines.
My migraines are immune to medicine and get worse and worse with each passing second I'm not in a dark soundproof room. Naps are the only thing that fixes them. I'm pretty sure they're stress related but I have no idea what I'm stressed about.

So if I understood this correctly, between last year, after the start of apprenticeships, and now, that one place I wanted to get a job at got an apprentice, so they are full this year, and only hire again next year.
I feel like the butt of a joke, considering they told me last year they don't have enough space.
But most importantly, this whole fucking application bullshit is starting again, having to write interesting stories out the wazoo and blow up the letters into people's asses, hoping they fart back interest at me.
I hate this crap so much
Did some phoning stuff today already, a place is okay with me having tryout days, but now I have to wait for the Jobcenter to call me back to give me their okay. That's probably 2 weeks lost at a place which probably will not hire me anyways because they told me they apparently have a few people for tryouts, and one of them is there for a longer time. "Well he's here for a while, but that doesn't automatically mean that we're going to hire them" hohoho yeah sure and I'm Santa Claus.

no but seriously fuck everyone here
Weather reports are saying that it's going to snow in Alabama, and some of it MIGHT sneak its way down here to us in Florida. 1 to 3 inches, if at all.
Fucking people are packed in Wal-Mart like a goddamn hurricane is on the way and the governer is calling for a two-week tax holiday on emergency supplies.
GUYS COME ON. ALL THE OTHER STATES ARE GOING TO LAUGH AT US.

I'm gonna be ticked if that quiz counts for actual points
I had a quiz in one of my classes today. It had was 13 problems, the whole quiz was worth 100 points, and we had five minutes. There were two pages stapled together, so I couldn't see the second page. I started doing the problems, turned the page, and at the bottom of the paper read "Only do problems 9, 10, 11, and 12, which are each worth 25 points. If you did the other problems, don't erase them." There were two minutes left in the quiz by the time I saw that.
We turned in our quizzes and my professor, who has already proven he's a butt before, says, "This quiz was meant to teach you to read instructions." OK, first of all, screw you, we don't need to be treated like six-year-olds, this is a COLLEGE CLASS. Second, I already KNOW how to follow directions, because again, I'm not a six-year-old. Third, putting the instructions on the SECOND PAGE THAT WE CAN'T SEE doesn't teach us how to follow directions, it teaches us to dislike you for taking cheap shots at your students.

Hello from Los Angeles and our unseasonal heat wave. I don't know how many years it's been since we've seen snow in our neck of the woods so I don't know how bad our freak out will be if it ever comes. I do remember a surprise hail storm that lasted a few minutes some years back, but it was so surprising and unexpected that I burst out laughing the moment I realized what it was.Exeres wrote:Weather reports are saying that it's going to snow in Alabama, and some of it MIGHT sneak its way down here to us in Florida. 1 to 3 inches, if at all.

Good lord. You have my condolences. The closest I remember to having an experience like that was a teacher who would make sudden loud noises because he knew I was skittish and would yelp every time he did that. Never took it personally though because the way he did it seemed more of a "You should really relax" attitude as opposed to "HA HA! LOOK AT YOU SQUEAL!" type.Marcato wrote:I had a quiz in one of my classes today. It had was 13 problems, the whole quiz was worth 100 points, and we had five minutes. I hate MATLAB I hate MATLAB I hate MATLAB I hate MATLAB
It's ALWAYS a good sign when the code you find in the BOOK doesn't work in your programming software, much less the one you try to make yourself.
Re: Things that piss you off

I am so immensely rustled at this stupid software
I officially hate programming with MATLAB. This is bull crap and no one should have to deal with this torture.

Re: Things that piss you off
i'm the worst at mirror selfies too. either the lighting is booty, the mirror is shaped/angled wrong, or i can't actually get the desired part of me into the image. i have like double the amount of mirrors in my new house and absolutely none of them are in appropriate areas for taking photos. sigh.
what rustled me off is, in general, people who don't take care of their pets. which is a common complaint of mine. today it's also "how can you look at this dog who cannot walk on one of his legs and has been this way for several weeks and not try to get it some help" and "why am i always the only one who ever cares about the dogs people just leave outside to roam or worse, tie up in yards, and it's FUCKING FREEZING and 90% of these dogs don't have enough fur to keep them sufficiently warm"
i love the country but honestly the animal care in the country is abysmal
ALSO
we just found out that our apartments expect us to make our apartment "move-in ready" which means a good cleaning. which i expected to clean but i didn't expect to have to PROFESSIONALLY CLEAN THE GOD daisies CARPET. and even if WE don't do it, we still pay for it. and also we pay for anything that we didn't clean good enough. which is like $50 for a dirty stove. and the apartment has to be inspected when we leave so someone has to be there to make sure they don't pull any bullshit which i wouldn't be surprised if they did
oh my god i am so sick of their shit
