The guild I'm in in FF14 is starting to make me feel uncomfortable. We have some top players, and I got some good pals there, but goddamn some people.
There is a guy who admitted that he intentionally sexually harasses female players (or general women on the internet) because he knows that he won't get a slap in the face.
There is a guy who is pretty elitist and bombards you with shit when it doesn't go his way, even when it's not about the game itself anymore.
There is a guy who absolutely doesn't understand that "people from country X are born retarded" is not only not funny, but also really offensive - and then proceeds to explain it with an even more offensive joke.
There are some people who think that others should delete their account and characters simply because they played together with them once and they didn't perform that great. And one of these people is a guy who plays super bad themselves, and doesn't even take advice.
And probably some other guys I (fortunately) forgot about.

Maybe it's about time to jump ship.

Augh, I have to do a thematic and key analysis of a symphony, but everything is so farkin' tiny on the photocopy that the professor handed out that I can't tell what half of the notation is supposed to be.
Is that a natural? A sharp? A sixteenth rest? random little feathering from the originial print that copied weird? HECK IF I KNOW.

I'm sorry

Aaaaaand now the professor wants a specific method of modulation that's listed in the textbook.
Does he tell us where in the 600 page textbook (or even 40 page chapter) the specific modulation is found, or maybe even SPECIFY WHAT THE MODULATION ACTUALLY IS THAT WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE LOOKING FOR? Not a chance.

There are seven different modulation segments in this chapter that mention VI chords. Time to play modulation roulette, I guess.

Every single person that has classed in my current XCOM game has been wounded, a lot of them gravely. So I'm working with ballistics in body armor with people who can't hit the broadside of a barn or have any special skills to make up for it.

At least you didn't drop a piano on a school and get a flat minor.

Okay, that one took me a second.

And Terra, you're right. I'm nowhere near flat enough to be a B.

Well, this is my seventh major attempt at this, and my confidence in this assignment is steadily diminishing.

(if you build a three-note chord off of each note in the major scale, the seventh one is always a diminished triad. it's less funny when you have to explain it.)

except without the sarcasm

Don't worry, Riku, I got it. Diminished 7th chords sound really cool.
