Also problem after problem with my computer. Every time it seems like I'm one step away from finishing it, there's something else wrong. Currently I can't get the video card out of the motherboard because the card is huge and the motherboard is small. Normally wouldn't be much of an issue but it's blocking one of the SATA ports and I need both ports in order to have a Disk Drive plus a harddrive to install Windows.
If you don't have any urgent need for the disc drive in the near future, you could leave te disc drive outside of te computer (connected via cable but outside of the box) and then just ditch it after you have windows installed.

There is no way to connect the disk drive to the computer at the same time the hard drive is connected, unless I buy a SATA to USB cord.
I got Windows installed on a flash drive and everything is working now, I just have the disk drive in the case but not connected to anything, currently.

Deserved a day of rest after working my booty off in the last time, and then the FF14 servers are down. And I sure as hell won't play LoL alone, as much as I want to right now because I want to play the new character.

I was reading some messageboards for a tabletop RPG, discussing an adventure path that I'm currently in.
Found a discussion that didn't seem to be plot-laden or spoilery: Which deity does your divine character worship? (In a campaign where the power of the gods is a pretty big deal and paladins/clerics are everywhere.) I thought, cool, I'll have a look.
Guy 5 posts down writes a major spoiler, no spoiler tags, and is a huge spoiler for my character especially since I'm playing a divine character and the plot development would be a huge deal. Like, life-changing spoiler, in terms of character knowledge.
...I'm so angry that I'm in that angry state where you just sit silently, with a neutral expression. Too angry for anger.
it isn't really even a problem just kind of annoying

I'm writing a synopsis/outline/thing for this story. It's not supposed to be detailed or anything but it's getting progressively more narrative as I go. It's getting frustrating because I don't know how to stop.

I don't start college for a month and they already managed to fuck something up.
Maryland schools continue to be a wonderland full of competent people and amazing choices.

So, I spent all weekend babysitting my cousin's daughter because my aunt had something urgent come up. This was the girl I think I mentioned before on here that's... kinda weird? Like random bouts of crying and screaming for periods of time and then just suddenly snapping out of it.
In any case, she was a little bit sick all weekend and because of my bad sleeping habits I've been drained the past two days.
Then my aunt kinda revealed that the reason she was away and I needed to babysit was something petty and was basically an excuse to dump the kid on me instead of her because she hates being around the kid.
Soooooooo... wonderful.

Wifi got so bad I actually lost connection to the Dota 2 servers and it won't let me reconnect. Which means that I just ruined a game for 9 other people. The computer works perfectly lag free on any other game. But I boot up the one game where a few seconds can mean 5 people dead and I have 10 seconds of lag every two minutes.

Sounds like the kid is either haunted or mildly autistic

Parents need to get her checked out soon because she'll probably be starting pre-K next year and they require shit like that be at least checked out.
But the mom doesn't really want to think about it, and my cousin doesn't really have much say in it because he's not the real dad.
Plus both of them are busy with work and she's often just dumped on whoever to take care of her, so being in that kind of unstable environment gives her like zero structure and she gets frustrated easily when the rules get changed on her.
Also, I'm not quite sure what's up with her. I've been around a lot of people with varying levels of autism, and having been diagnosed with it, I can often (but not always) see some of the warning signs of it from my own experiences, and even this is wholly foreign to me. It reminds me more of bipolar disorder, but I'm not quite sure if that manifests itself in children or not.
EDIT: In other news, still feel like shit, hoping to knock myself out tonight and get a good solid rest.

Auughhh teamwork is the bane of my existence
We have this programming assignment due tomorrow, and since I have done 75-80% of the job, my teammate and I decided he would finalize it.
I just looked at his code for the first time. All of it ought to be redone because it's either not up to my standards, very ugly or just broken.
The thing is, the teacher wants us to attribute every part of the code to a specific member, and if I redo everything, my teammate will barely have anything left for himself. And if I redo it and attribute it to him, the teacher is gonna find out because our approaches are very different. And if I leave it as is, I won't get the grade I'd like.
I guess I'll say we both worked on the parts I'm gonna redo tonight.
edit: And of course Eclipse started randomly telling me some functions don't exist when I call them so I can't test anything
