Yeah, those people are annoying. They also diminish the worth of one's own claim of having something, as to explain something, because a thousand others have already claimed to have it for sympathy, simply being known as quirky and so on.

came to my programming class thinking we'd continue to learn how to python
instead the 2nd years and some abhorrent douche-y guy hijacked our class to force us to fill in forms for internships while telling us "I'm not forcing you but if you don't you're a loser and a piece of shit and your whole family will make fun of you forever"
and of course I had to pick the one computer that doesn't recognize the printer and crashed all the time
