Well, they finally did it. They finally required you to have a Google+ profile linked to a YouTube account to comment on videos.

I decided to get it over with and switch over. Problem is your avatar doesn't carry over, and you have to change your profile picture through Google+, and it shows up on YouTube several minutes later.

Honestly anything that discourages the creation of more Youtube comments is an improvement in my book.

Yeah, but shoving Google+ down everyone's throat isn't.

i still cant figure out how to see comments. they're autohidden by my privacy settings??? but i have no idea how to change it.

parents have been telling me all day about how Tuxedo Mask will never want to marry me and will dump me after visiting next year because i can't cook and i'm lazy despite david being exactly the same as me

Found out why my name wasn't even on the work schedule this week. According to my manager "Thanks to our great President Obama" they've had to cut hours for everybody. So that means me and 5 other people get NO hours, and everyone else gets a cut in their hours. Oh well that sucks, maybe they'll just be a rotation where people have a week off on occasion. NOPE! Still me and the 5 others next week with no hours. But it's OK I can just put a note up saying I'll cover anyone's shift that they need off...because that's what the concern will be when nobody has enough hours to live off of!

I'm still seething that it's me and the same other people who are expected to just not work for 2 weeks straight...the way it's put, I'm not fired, but the way I'm experiencing it is I'm not working. Anyone I talk to tells me I should be pop flyin' that I'm not fired, even though there's absolutely no tangible difference between being fired, and what I now have to deal with.

I've been out scrounging for jobs ever since, wading through the same bullshit of "Oh we're not hiring." "We're done hiring for the season." and "We won't hire you without experience." (my favorite...) It's humiliating, I got a job, THEY JUST WON'T FUCKING HAVE ME WORK! But it's OK because "there are jobs everywhere" and "All you have to do is ask." I'll be fine, I'll just wait for the next restaurant to open up and completely need to staff it from scratch. That's something that happens every day, right?

The best thing, though...I got my roommate's girlfriend working at the same place because they were hard up for workers...she's got hours...I don't...thanks karma.

It probably has something to do with Adblock. I've seen other people complain and it turns out that there's a specific adblock filter that keeps the new version of comments from showing. For some reason I haven't gotten any issues along the lines of that with my Adblock. I'm wondering if it has to do with the fact that I am using Chrome and/or Macbook...

I'm with you on this. I got rustled off at all the stuff Google did (See my posts in this thread from a few weeks back) and decided to do my research to find out what happens, and then came to the conclusion that they would pull something like this sooner or later. I was able to quickly adapt to their new system because I knew it was going to happen.

I'm still angry at Google, but mainly for their complete lack of courtesy to offer any kind of tutorial for such a huge change. As well, they didn't even bother setting a character limit or do anything to prevent clickable URLs from being posted. That just reeks of incompetency. So right now, I feel like I'm the only one leaving any kind of constructive comments on people's YouTube videos amidst the chaos.

What I don't get is why does the video open again in a new tap plus the original tab when I try to find a comment.

I click on the "replied to" note above a comment and it just opens another tab of the same video so I can see the comment.

Just why the hell do they need to open another tab to process that when it worked properly before?
