I want to transfer the data from my old 3DS to my 3DSxl but I'm worried about losing my town in Animal Crossing since it sounds like the game is deleted in the transfer and you have to re-download it and I'm really confused like will my town be deleted too what the heck

It isn't deleted. The data is on the SD card. When you do a system transfer, the only thing really transferred is your permissions, meaning things like "yes, I downloaded this game from the eShop with X ID# so I can play game with X ID# on the system". Meanwhile, all of the permissions on the old console will be deleted, so it can't read the old SD card at all, even though the game is still on the SD card.

Once you're done transferring, just be sure to take the SD card out of the old console and put it into the new one, as it'll be used for all of the data for your games (think of it like a hard drive).

That was the impression I was getting while trying to find more information, but anything I could find just felt very ambiguous so I've been scared to try the transfer.
I was near a Gamestop earlier and I went and asked and the guy tried to help but since he wasn't 100% he recommended I call Nintendo support to be sure.

I've done it twice, and except for the internet cutting out once and having to restart, everything was fine.

You just need an internet connection on both of them at the same time.

A massive cold sore bloomed on my face yesterday and today it looks even more terrible. It's not even on my mouth, it's between my mouth and my nose on that cupid's bow area. I tried putting Reliev stuff on it (however the medicine is spelled) but so far it hasn't done jack. I checked the label and found that it was expired.

Why do I get cold sores so often. I get that once the virus is in your system it never leaves but. Really. This is ridiculous.
