I was gonna make cake pops, but now I realize we don't have enough ingredients to make them. I was gonna buy cake batter, but my big brother was messing with my head and making me feel stupid for wanting to get cake mix when we had (half) a box in the pantry. Then my little brother keeps begging me n whining at me to make em, I just woke up to all this, and now I'm all rustled off. Also, Mom has computer so I can't type up my college essays. uuugh

I used to get those all the time. I eventually had to have surgery on one of them to get it to fuckin' quit

Well, so much for that.
"Yeah I'm definitely going to contact you on monday, no worries."
Great contact, I can totally see that.

Atleast the day isn't over yet. If they don't call me until wednesday, I'll go there again personally.

2 weeks to finish choice assignments for English class and I haven't even finished first one.

I'm pushing myself through it now but I'm struggling with it regardless.

I can't really bullshit my way through this although I appreciate the previous advice.

At the end, I'll need to have written a few projects with long summaries and several eligible sources.

I have finally sent the teacher a letter about it so who knows, my skepticism might be proven wrong and I receive help with this.

Edit: Teacher responded and gave me some reassurance, so that's good. It's still a bit of trouble but not as much now.

i'm trying to find this one version of "indian summer" but i don't remember the band and a million other people have done the song and it's driving me crazy.

all i remember is the in picture the youtube video i used to listen to long ago. sort of. it either had a bunch of people sitting and facing the camera, or it had like, two people dancing and running through a field. the whole thing was awash with orange. i think spoony may have linked it once? or merlin, maybe.

does anyone know what i am talking about please help.

In my most useless class I need to show I can use an office suite by creating my resume as it could be 15 years from now (we have to go through some online jobs websites and pick some offers and use them as our imaginary past experiences) and writing a presentation letter and the whole thing makes me cringe. Thinking about jobs and the future makes me uncomfortable and the presentation letter is just "oh ye great wise rich person in a position of authority, could I be so foolish as to expect you to degrade yourself by glancing over this worthless piece of paper yadda yadda I'd like to be your slave for the next 10 years yadda yadda I am forever in debt for ye have given my life a meaning by spending 10 seconds reading this before sending it to be archived, rest assured that I am in awe kthxbye". The honorifics and "thanks for noticing me" parts are longer than the rest of the letter and it's just disgusting.
And just as I was almost done I noticed most of the job offers I picked have been removed from the website so the teacher won't be able to tell if I did the assignment correctly so I'm probably going to have a terrible grade.

Well I can tell you right off the bat that you should strike the "thanks for noticing me" bits along with anything else that degrades you. Anyone who says you should put them in is being stupid and wants you to fail.

A presentation letter is not a simpering plea. It's a sales pitch. You're selling yourself, so make sure your strengths are highlighted and your weaknesses non-existent. For all they care you are the greatest thing since sliced bread. You can do everything the job wants and you can do it better than anyone else. You're not bragging or boasting, but stating a simple fact that you are exactly the kind of product they will want to buy, even if the price might be a bit hefty.

The example the teacher supplied has those bits so I think I'd better keep them. But yeah I definitely wouldn't put them in a real letter. What annoys me is no that it's too degrading per se, it's just ridiculous and forced. I'm ok with being lower in the hierarchy but it really doesn't have to be that contrived.
