I'm going to have to read PPACA because my relatives keep posting '''''''''facts''''''''' from secondhand (often extremist) sources.

Just be careful. That's what ended up messing up my computer according to the people who fixed it.

The hinge ended up messing with the connection to the monitor and messed up the connection to the HDMI port so I couldn't export the screen to an external monitor. In the end, the warranty people had to replace the screen, the hinge casing, and redo the wiring to the HDMI port.

My new sig has a terrible resolution and I don't know what I can do to fix it.

I've tried three different times from three different sources to get this image to keep a decent aspect ratio, and it's not working. During my last attempt, I found a high-res version of the image, rescaled it, and then uploaded it to Majhost. And during that whole process, it's managed to look awful again.

Edit: Disregard this post. I'm looking at it again and it's not as bad as I thought.

One of my friends has been wanting me to get on facebook more often and keep up with her and the old gang from high school.

I've been on for a few hours and so far she's managed, through passing comments, to get two brands of hatewagons on her booty.

The first is because she needs a kid's top and an adult's bottom for her Gi because of her proportions and the university won't let her mix and match even though the course requires a properly fitting Gi. Meaning she has to spend a lot more cheddar getting a custom one because even though they're obligated to get her a Gi, they refuse to "cater" to her needs. This spawned a shitstorm about how just because she's "atypically shaped" doesn't mean she should get special treatment over students that more commonly reflect the average sizing.

The second is that she saw a person carrying a rifle on the sidewalk coming towards her at night while she was walking to her car and swooped into a nearby building to grab an officer to let him know. The officer informed her that certain areas on campus are now open carry so he of course can't do anything about it. She posts simply that it was a "scary event" and that she feels less safe on campus knowing this.

Cue people telling her that not only would she only be safe if she had a gun of her own for self-defense against rapists and crazy people with guns, but also that she has nothing to worry about because the campus is "too safe" for anything bad to happen, despite the fact that in the 4 years I've been there, we've had 3 sighted gunmen on campus, one of which intended to come on campus and shoot up his classroom but was apprehended before that, not to mention the sexual assault cases, armed robbery, and other things that have gone on. Which begs the question that if guns are to be open carried on campus for safety when the campus is safe enough to not need to worry about your safety, then why are you carrying a gun to begin with and advocating others that they need to carry guns?

And perhaps the biggest bugbear of all of this is that someone shamed my friend for getting the police officer's attention because "I've been stopped multiple times by police because someone felt threatened by me carrying my gun down the street and it's infringing on my rights."

Alright, you have the right to open carry your gun. People also have the right to call the police if they feel threatened. You're mad at them because a total stranger is walking down the road, carrying a rifle, and they're worried enough to take the precaution to call the police in the event that something bad did happen? People have a right to feel secure in their homes, and while you have the right to open carry, you're still culpable to the law, the same as any other right, including free speech.

And I just... Jesus Christ, you're SHAMING someone because they're not comfortable with seeing someone coming down the street at 10 PM with a rifle. They're allowed to be wary of them.

So sorry friend, but I'm not the type to deal with this passive-aggressive "hate you no matter what you say" bullshit on facebook (don't get me started on people posting disrespectful messages on remembrance posts for people who passed away or telling people that they hope their kids have down's syndrome because they "post too many pictures")

TL;DR: Ugggggggggghglughglughgluh!
