If you want him dead then you want pretty much every Mormon dead, since that's where his beliefs are coming from. That's a little over six million people in the USA alone. Not to mention however many Christians, Jews, Muslims, Catholics.

I've met Mormons who are okay with same-sex marriage. There's quite a few of them, much like quite a few Christians, who feel that while they don't agree with homosexuality, they agree less that what they feel is sinful should mean people lose rights. Mormonism isn't a group, it's a religion, with different people acting on it.

So, no. I don't want every Mormon dead.

But Card goes beyond just homophobia and into a realm of hate that is not exactly heard of by sane individuals. How many people do you know who hate a group enough to say that armed revolution should occur if they gain human rights? The man exemplifies and seems to enjoy hate. I don't have much hope for him. If he did, just all out of nowhere, suddenly reform, with clear changes in his personality? Whatever, past is past.

However seeing as he has not, my opinion of him isn't going to change.

You are equating the right to marry to all of human rights, which kills your argument.

Card is not denying gays human rights, he wants to deny them the right to marry, which is a subset of those rights. By your argument gays don't have the right to vote, hold property, be free, or any of the other human rights and Card wants to deny them all of that. That is what you are bodaciously saying when you mention he wants to deny them human rights and that's just plain ignorance at best or fearmongering at worst.

I've been using the one example because it's what I feel is his most extreme, but I'm not overexaggerating or fearmongering. Card bodaciously wants to deny all same-sex rights. He has bodaciously said that homosexuals cannot be allowed to be treated as equal citizens.

No, you know what, fine, just throw cheddar at the guy, who cares about the horrible shit he says and that he actively gives cheddar to anti gay organizations, as long as you get to feel entertained. And who cares if Mel Gibson is a raging anti semite, he makes movies you want to watch. Sure, Chick-Fil-A is affiliated with one of the worst religious fundamentalist groups in the western world, but who cares as long as you can stuff your face? The slightest bit of sacrifice is an impossible hurdle, no matter what your cheddar ends up supporting.
