I can't entirely explain why but it pisses me off that "drinking" is synonymous with "drinking alcohol".

And now I come home to find that WHOOPS WE'RE OUT OF CAT FOOD, but I had no way of knowing that, because there still should have been half a bag left. Which means my brother probably fed that half of the bag to the dog.
Re: Things that piss you off
It started off as a scapegoat question for cops to ask people they suspect might be driving under the influence if they've been drinking alcohol without breaking any 5th amendment rights. They ask "Have you been drinking?" the guy automatically knows he's asking about alcohol. If said guy decides to throw a fit, then they have plausible deniability to say "I was simply asking if he'd had any fluids to drink."scebboaliwiw wrote:I can't entirely explain why but it pisses me off that "drinking" is synonymous with "drinking alcohol".
It's a smarmy tactic, I know. Personally I'd just tell the guy I suspect him of driving under the influence. If he asks why, I tell him why. It all comes down to if he can pass the FSTs either way. Bullshittery just tends to piss people off. It's hard enough to get a guy to agree to an FST whether he's sober or drunk anyway, you can just imagine how rediculous it'd be if he was rustled off.
I'll leave it to your own opinion whether rustled off and either drunk or sober would be worse to deal with.

Have you been drinking, because you look a little dehydrated and could probably use a glass of water.scebboaliwiw wrote:I can't entirely explain why but it pisses me off that "drinking" is synonymous with "drinking alcohol".

wifi isn't working so i have to use my dad's computer which is smack right in the middle of the living room where my mom practically lives so i can't do anything i really want to do online and i can't play any games either because there's none whatever installed

also my dad has bad eyesight so everything is magnified so i can't do anything in secret either because it's going to be clear as day

Re: Things that piss you off
We have a few electrical issues in the house that need to be looked at. When my mum found out she was all 'Oh I'll find an electrician for you.'
'It's okay, mum, I got it.'
'I will look in the paper.'
'No really mum, I can read the paper myself.'
'There are lots of electricians there, I'll look one up for you.'
'Really, mother, there's no need to trouble yourself, I got this.'
'okay then.'
That was yesterday. She just called to say she's called a sparky and that installing a sensor light will cost $100 and getting my oven fixed will cost $30.
Dammit Mum, I know she's trying to help, she even offered to pay. But I want to be able to do my own calling around.
It's a bit of an injoke between me and my sister about how mum always complains about how useless we are and then never lets us do anything for ourselves.

Someone seems to be showing off their brand new subwoofers upstairs. Using loud music.
