Because of roomie I burned half of my arm a bit in the oven.

Fell asleep in the bath for about two hours and spent another half hour working up the will to get out after the water drained.

There was no chance of anything happening due to my size relative to the tub, but still.

You should have just refilled the tub with hot water and went back to sleep.

I'm pretty sure sleeping in actual water is a really bad idea. Something to do with thermodynamics, potential hypothermia (AC was on), and the fact that half my body was out of the water during the two hours. Pretty sure that's it anyway, not exactly in the best state of mind. This is the Semi-Lucid Zone.

When I got out I was shivering at the core. Now I'm wrapped in a fleece robe and making up excuses to not go to bed.

Why am I awake. I went to bed, fell asleep, and woke up two and a half hours later after the worst "sleep" I've had in a while. I dreamed I was on a production line the entire time.

I may head out to get some Nyquil at some point so I can knock myself out.

Nyquill doesn't have sexy sleep drugs in it anymore.
Besides it might be because you took a nap earlier?

In that case tonight is not going to be fun.

If you can go to the store, there's something called zzzquil or something which is just for helping you sleep.

You can get the sleep aids without paying for the name brand, just keep an eye out for which drugs are in the medicine. For example, doxylamine is the antihistamine in NyQuil that induces sleep, so just look for some store brand or whatever that has it and you're solid.

Personally, I prefer melatonin specifically because it's not an antihistamine, but they all work well enough if you're just looking for occasional aid.

I might just do that, though I have to admit some of the dreams I have while sick are kind of interesting. The bathtub nap brought about this little tidbit.

Time is nothing, a non-thing, and I am quagmired in this nothing. The minutes don't move, the hours don't progress, what is a second but a stretch of eternity? The light of the room is the only indicator I am here, the incoherent thoughts pass before me, my materials to form a dream. One by one on the conveyor belt supported by nothing. I pick them up and craft something, though I don't know what. I blink and it vanishes. I dismiss the idea that never was and try again. And again. The concepts elude me, their finished form complex and yet unfathomable. The entire time the sound of echoes are my music in this bizarre construction line, the only noise aside from pounding silence. Mired in eternity, surrounded by warmth, I blink. What was warm is now cool, the light has moved, and the slideshow of time skipped forward. I move and hear liquid, feel the ache in my joints, and know that I am awake.
