That's cool too. It's not like I wasn't even given the same kinds of music lessons as other kids in bigger cities.

What part do you not qualify for? Because I never got to take private lessons or anything like that and I'm in. Is it the theory stuff?

Oh wow; The stuff you can get for about 1,000 Star Points in Nintendo's Stars Catalogue atm is just laughable.

Makes me wonder why I bothered going through the motions of inputting the registration codes and/or answering the surveys.

My school requires three recommendation letters from music professionals, and I know maybe two who know anything about my musical talent, and they also need a list of every composer that I've studied intensively, which I haven't done because we didn't do anything like that in high school and I've never taken private lessons. If I wanted to major in Theory and Composition, I'd also need a compilation of a bunch of original music works that I've written, and I haven't written any.

Well I didn't think you were planning on majoring in composition. You're not a frequent composer.

Okay, I kind of freaked out on this with my major application too. They have to expect some kids to never have taken lessons. As such, just write down that you were never able to take private lessons to do intensive studies.

For your recommendations, How many music teachers have you had? You had to audition for any of the music things you've done in college, right? Just go collecting those. (Although I find it interesting that they're requiring full blown letters and not just the name and information to contact the person on their own.)
