$231/month is so much better than being late on three bills, including rent.
After this, everything is going to start working out. We're in a pit, and this makes everything even.

Seriously impractical. You have to find a boulder, get it up the bridge and find a place on the boulder to attach a rope. In short, don't do it. You'll look ridiculous.

I told the person who was making fun of me to stop, and he kinda just brushed it off, and called me out in front of all our other friends. Which upset someone because they were like "What, we have to deal with this thing AGAIN?" (I brought it up before when I felt like everyone was being mean to me, and they got all upset because they were feeling like I was accusing them and being whiny.) So, I talked with the counselor today. Got really motivated and felt way better after talking with her. Made me want to keep pursuing my dreams. I'm gonna take her advice and sit away from some of my friends too. (Though I'm a little wary of doing so, because someone else is already doing that, and I don't want it to seem like I'm being rude specifically to one person in the group.) She even gave me a nifty packet on professionals I should see, because she can't really help me as much as I'd like due to school district reasons.

Talked with my Dad about seeing a counselor, and he told me to just pray about it. :colbert: I'm an okay Christian/Catholic I think, but I really need a counselor. He's super traditional religious, so I don't think I'll be able to. Although, he also doesn't want us paying for any counselling and he's somewhat afraid of me being taken advantage of the person I'd be meeting with because he heard about something like that in the news.

Unrelated but: ow ow ow, im so bad at keeping my invisalign on, when will i learn? ;-;

Good on you! Well done on standing up for yourself. Don't be discouraged that he dissed on your feelings. Frankly if no one will take you seriously, they don't deserve your friendship. I've heard about people who are more worried about being alone and would rather be bullied

Frankly people who are being bullied are already alone. Worse, they are singled out as an object of ridicule. Sometimes time standing up for yourself will fix that, and sometimes it wont. But one should always try even if only to save one's dignity.

Also what's God gonna do? Smite your bullies? Or is this about forgiving them for how they treat you?

Nah, his point was more like God will shower you with good feelings or I'll feel empowered by them? For example, he used last year when he wasn't getting any business, and he eventually got a lot of work because he was following his beliefs, and didn't stop giving cheddar to the church when times were a little tough. I mean, I told him I'd try it, but that I would seriously like counseling too. That was when he said it would cost cheddar and that I might get taken advantaged.

The counselor also said that I could also try exercising to get some endorphins flowing, and that it'd clear my head so I guess I'll be taking my dog on walks more.

I think the idea behind praying about it is that you can voice your concerns to someone who isn't going to judge you about them. That can be a self-confidence boost.

Anyway, good luck, Angelic.

wow my ex told me the same fucking thing and it was SO disrespectful and horrid. he also said that i only had problems because i didn't trust god enough or something. when i told him the bible says that god helps those that help themselves he was like THAT'S NOT WHAT IT MEANS and proceeded to snub me off/bitch at me anytime i brought it up.

i went to the counsellor anyway and it bodaciously changed my life. i was so so so much more confident and now i can actually function like a human being. breaking up with him helped a lot too >>

idk i know you can't break up with your dad and he controls the cheddar but do you have a school counselor or something? someplace free you could go? someone close you can at least just talk to?

I have no clue how to bring up the issue of getting therapy. I know I couldn't count on my mother for shit because she's not only sexist but disregards any issues I have. My dad might be more understanding but then I'd have to convince him not to tell my brother or mom about it at all.

I suppose I'd have to stay with him seeing as I have nowhere else to go but there's little room in his place for any long term stay. I also do not have any source of income so I might not have the cheddar to get any proper therapy.

This is a complicated mess and I don't think I have any chance of enjoying life if I don't get some kind of therapy.
