I hear ya. It's like being back at school sometimes. The girls in my department are all bitchy at each other and my manager is the worst because he goes around and tells the girls what they say about each other or sometimes he makes stuff up.

He once told me the girls said I didn't get enough work done. I looked him in the eye as I phoned them and confirmed they didn't say shit. He then had the audacity to get upset because I called him a liar.

Some of the middle-aged women in my place are the worst offenders; They fall out over the most childish things and refuse to talk to one another or go on the same breaks and stuff like that; It's all backstabbing and petty squabbles.

One of my managers gave me unnecessary 'counseling' last week - he seems to think I went out of my way to fuck his day up and made sure he got it down in writing to try and paint me up as some kind of 'problem employee' - so yesterday I had to spend a couple of hours writing a letter to personnel threatening to take matters to a higher power if they're going to take this clown's side of the story over my own.

It was just unnecessary - the real 'problem employees' get away with all kinds of shit and I work my balls off for this kind of treatment? Fuck that noise - I'm not going to let him get away with it.

Yeah, this is exactly what's going on. They keep sticking their noses in eachother's business and always want to know who said what about who. This didn't happen with my previous manager as she would make them get on with work. Now they do what they like because the manager does what ever he wants too. Then they all hate on each other (and me) because the work's not getting done.

i like to think of myself as a very functional human being, especially since i had crippling anxiety not even 5 years ago

the only thing i've not gotten over because i really have had no reason to get over is calling people. like i can call the vet, my mom etc but calling just...people, and especially to ask them for things is fucking TERRIFYING. my boss knows this. he's given me a couple tasks to call some guy and ask him questions etc and it's taken me like hours to get psyched up (or stop panicking, whichever comes first,) but i feel it's all for the greater good and it'll help me get better. then my boss is like "here have a task that has a deadline to call 5 different people EVERY DAY and bug them to give you a thing"

not only am i terrified of talking on the phone, i am also really not a pushy person like i hate bothering/hounding people so this is WAY outside my comfort zone. this is a super important thing though so i HAVE to do it this way (these people never ever reply to emails and are horrid at having their shit together hence the hounding,) and it's supposed to be done by next week and i just CANNOT STOP FREAKING OUT OVER IT
