I was about to order ~$100 in CDs from this Polish label but they don't seem to take credit cards, only bank accounts from European banks I've never heard of?? I didn't have that problem last year when I ordered from Sweden :(

I can't sleep. Last night, I had to stay up to help a friend who was in a very poor emotional state. I ended up sleeping at noon-ish.

Three or four hours later, Mom knocked on the door because she can't keep track of pens on her own. Loaned her a pen. Wasn't able to go back to sleep. Twelve hours later, I gave up on lying in bed because I just can't fall asleep and started complaining into a forum on the internet.


I wish I could just sleep like the entire rest of my family can. If they get tired, they can just drop like a rock for ten hours. If they wake up early or something, they can fall right back to sleep. If I get woken up early, I'm up for sixteen hours.


Sigh.

I guess I ought to be thankful for my complete and total lack of responsibilities to uphold.

I had to go to two (2!!) different stores to find a computer mouse with a retractable cord and then I still had to order online because the only ones they had were cordless. The employees at Best Buy had never heard of a retractable cord before.

It's like a cable but smaller and not used to suck up your extra cheddar with with a ton of things you'll never look at.

because this is my life and of course this happened, two small dogs wandered into my yard and now they're in my crate. someone is coming get them tomorrow but the act of giving them food just now has seemingly awakened the younger one's desire to whine/bark nonstop and he really needs to stop before i go to bed. insomnia + puppy who doesn't know how to crate is not good for shazza's sanity.

like christmas is already bad enough just with being spoony and dealing with my family i dont need lack of sleep added to that

Just spent two hours trying to get my Hard drive with windows on it to show up in my GRUB loader. Just realized that I formatted the wrong hard drive when reinstalling openSUSE. Fuck. At least I didn't have anything important saved to it.

Aw, that sucks. I'm always afraid of picking the wrong drive/partition so I always put expressive labels on them. You can do that from the YaST partitioner (including during the installation) or using gparted.

Eh, it's not too much of a loss. All I really use Windows for is for games and to put music on my iphone (haven't found a way to do that on Linux, though I haven't looked too hard either). I have two drives, one is 500 GB, one is 1 TB. I've been distro hopping a lot lately and was using the 500 drive for that, but last time I switched distros I decided to use my TB drive for Linux and move my Windows stuff to the 500 GB one. I forgot about that this time when I decided to go back to openSUSE and used the 500 GB one out of habit. I should have had them labeled, but oh well. No harm done really. I can just redownload my games and whatnot overnight.

I spent most of yesterday implementing parallelism into my game and it worked just fine and now it doesn't and I can't figure out why.

starting week 2 of new job and still don't have a w2 :) which means im not on payroll yet. im getting my tips (because i am the one who counts the cash box for the bar every night,) which is nice but like...c'mon. getting my boss to even show up at the store is like pulling teeth apparently. i also don't have keys to the stock room which makes things really annoying if the other bartender isn't here.

just pay me, dammit
