This is only tangentially related to this post, but it started me on a rant and I'd like to complete it
The video for Stronger, in my humble opinion, was pretty great, because it was one of those occasions where I'm pretty sure I was the only person who got the reference, as though it were intended purely for my viewing pleasure
I mean, how many Kanye fans have seen Akira?
the other example of this is when Bill Clinton played the theme from Night Court. Everybody gets the saxophone thing, Arsenio hall, all that. But really, did anyone else realize what song he was playing? No, not from Family Guy's audience.
If anyone wishes to dispel me of these (mis)conceptions they are welcome but will probably be ignored
PS Akira is on my list of movies I never want to see again, along with Princess Mononoke
PPS TL;DR

INTERNET HIGH FIVE
also acceptable; brofist, terrorist fist jab, things of this nature
also typically I don't go around blabbing about kanye west and family guy in the manner in which I have just done because doing so is bordering on pretentious hipsterdom, and far be it from me to contribute to the mass movement that is ending/will be the end of western civilization.

Some people say they hate Mononoke but after you get them to sit through it a few times they like it. Maybe they get it then. Or maybe that's just my pals.
And to draw attention from myself, now for something completely different:

What's this about people hating Akira and Princess Mononoke?
