Hey everyone, I've been posting here for a bit but I figured I should introduce myself. I'm vanillablackrose ( or Vialnisia on WoW ) and irl I'm Hitman's girlfriend. I play WoW, Minecraft, TF2, and pretty much any RPG or adventure game I can get my hands on. When I'm not gaming I'm a programmer by trade.
Anyways, nice to meet you all, and if any of you are on Cho'gall and need a mage, feel free to whisper Vialnisia. I'm pretty friendly and like to help people out

Uh-oh, why do I have a feeling like I just opened Pandora's box?
Seriously though, best video game script ever. Aside from clunky controls and a puzzle relying on moon logic, it was the perfect game.

Very well written, and I completely agree.
When I was in college I took a game development course and I did a presentation on Grim Fandango. One of the things that is amazing about it is that in addition to everything you have said about the story and the plot, from a game design standpoint it's impeccable. Aside from one puzzle that doesn't fit the norm, it flows beautifully. Granted, Lucasarts adventure games were known for being well designed, but this one was special in that they managed to work the scythe in as the key component in so many puzzles without it being boring or too predictable. And because all of the interaction and commentary is so fun, even if you do get stuck it's not frustrating. I really wish they made more games like this.

Shit dog, you did game dev? Hah, I know about a half dozen guys who did that, and they're still haven't done anything after graduating. Don't suppose you lucked out and got a job in the industry?

Nah, I work for a small company that writes software for product design. Besides, considering the fiasco with L.A. Noire programmers basically being used as slave labor I'm not sure I'd want to be part of the industry. Some day I want to code my own adventure game though, but I can't draw worth a shit :-/

Hey, if you have any ideas for a game, I'm all ears. Coding for me is easy, but I don't have enough of a creative spark to write something original.
