Hey, a new person!

Hello, and... Uh... Dang. I can't think of anything funny or cool or outright creepy to say. Maybe because it's 2 AM.

Also, where is the much-vaunted shipping wall? I've never seen it.

Also, I feel like a dick because I think it's been a while since I had even looked at this thread.

EDIT: SORRY VAL! I didn't even read your post, it would have explained why I haven't seen it. Shame, too, because I wanted to see which poor soul got mistakenly paired with me. (it'd always be a mistake. I know me)

Hello!

I've been reading Awkward Zombie for good while, but I kept finding myself going on forums often just to see other people's edits to the comic too so... I went ahead and joined! Deaf gamer from Scotland here, have all current generation consoles and I'm bit of Nintendo fan.

Um, not sure what to add so I'll stop here! Nice to meet you all :D

Greetings, Fisher of Seven. Welcome to the land of cake and brocolli, where the trees grow tall and the islands are small.

Alright, well, here's a Copy/Paste of the whole thing (Which I guess I could've just done in the first place :P)

My true name's Alex. I am a game developer in the making. Currently working on my first game, Power Master 1: A Strange Journey, since mid-April. It's almost done! Just waiting on a few things...

It's a standard RPG where you have to collect these wish granting gems in each of the 26 towns. It'll take you through deserts, forests, volcanoes, castles, space ships, space-shifting rooms, and you go to the towns in any order. Battle original enemies, save the world, make friends, and live the start of a long journey.I have been playing games my whole life, which is what prompted me to make my own. But I didn't wanna start with simply editing already-made games, or "hacking." Instead, I just jumped right in and started making my own.

I'm mostly a Nintendo fan: Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Kid Icarus, Metroid, Star Fox, Smash Brothers, yadda yadda yadda. Pretty much anything Nintendo, though I have been known to play a few rounds of Halo or Minecraft with my friends now and then. Not too good at it, though...

I also have a number of health and mental "problems." The first of which you may notice on the site is my autism. It makes me think differently than everyone else, but significantly lowers my social game. Regardless, I can make friends easily. How I act myself is kinda a mixture of Link and Pit: I'm usually silent (irl anyway) and am mostly sarcastic with what I say. I try to be serious at times, though. I also have the build of Link, but the athleticism of a Slakoth...

So, yep! That's me! The awkward, socially-disabled, game maker. Hello!

Some links you can "clink" on! Sorry, that was bad...

^My game site.

If you want to download my game for yourself (for FREE!), you can click here: http://powermaster.itch.io/

Currently, I only have the demo up, but I'll have the full game up soon!

I really just joined this place so I could post a derpy picture of Pit from the "Stock Exchange" comic on here. (http://www.awkwardzombie.com/forum/view ... &start=825)
But thanks for the welcomes anyway!

Good thing it is really easy for socially-challenged people such as us to interact when not having to deal with faces and such on the internet. I'm sitting somewhere on the autism spectrum as well.
I also have a desire to get into game design, but my lack of technology has been impeding that process.

Don't worry about the forum natives around here thinking you don't fit in. We generally don't bite.

This game follows Stephan, Jennifer, Hamilton, and Helen as they try to recover 26 magical gems before the revived wizard Exitilus gathers them first. This game takes place in the year 2008 and takes place in the land of Moneo. Using many unique elements, this will be one adventure you don't want to miss!
Is this... important to the story? ._. Are Coldplay and Katy Perry important to the plot?

Always nice to see another autism person! :) I'm part of another forum (which is what I originally tried to link to), so I'm used to the "natives" for the most part.

And I'm using RPG Maker if that helps your game design any.

Nooooooo. I felt it be a nice thing to have for the setting of the story, and it helps solidify a time-line for later entries. I don't think I worded it correctly, though, if that's what's confusing ya'. I'm no good with words.

Hello!

I don't have internet at the moment beyond my phone.

And, uh... Sorry, playing Minecraft on my PS3. Been doing that for the past few days, when I got the new update, so I can't think of anything funny.

Don't worry, nobody here is contagious. (Don't quote me on that, as I'm not 100% sure where the other folks have been)

I looked into that, but I decided I didn't want to make RPGs of that sort and wanted to make things that are more reflexive. I moved on to Unreal Engine 4.
Thinking I might look at Unity since games made in it are generally more accessible due to lower hardware requirements, though.

I have Aspergers and I'm useless when talking face-to-face with people I don't know. :D
Though once I get to know someone I can talk A LOT.
Also welcome to AZ!
