Ayanaaaaa I want a critique from you! Could you give me your opinion on a couple of things?

Here's a monster I drew maybe a month ago. I was trying to make a more fluid action-y pose and I was also working with line variations.

^ I did this one yesterday. I'm trying to get back in the swing of drawing faces that are slightly less anime.

Rendering test.

If the artwork I've been submitting lately seems somewhat... generic, it's mostly because I'm trying to figure out what colouring method I want to use for my comic pages.

This is pretty close I think.

Just a heads up: I'm not looking for critique on this, Bunyip.

(So I did the thing called a fake screencap - something keeps making it look funky, but it could just be because I don't have any art-confidence :/)
(There's also the original, un-blurred one here)

And then there's my first attempt at trying to make something look painted (totally messed up the intended glow effect but if I messed with it anymore I'D PROBABLY GET AN ULCER SO YEAH NTY) :I

Grey flowers are still colorful
they can be dark
they can be light
Black trees are still alive
their leaves may be stark
their branches may not be bright

"The pond was full of smooth, round stones. It emptied into a slow stream, clear and quiet. Raindrops from the rejuvenated trees above distorted the water. Each ripple crashing against the stones that were not fully submerged. Light filtered from betwixt the leaves, and some leaves were pierced by it. A smooth green mingled with the dim white light of the morning.

A perpetual stillness enveloped everything. Only the sound of morning birds echoed about. Breaking the stillness, dark blossoms fell from a flowering tree. Tired hands reached out and let one settle softly on it. She brought it close to her, and sniffed the sweet aroma. She held it out again.
A small breeze picked up. The flower danced in the distorted air, fluttering away to find a new resting place.

Silent tears dropped from weary eyes. They hit the grass and slipped into the pond. It was inevitable, that the girl would one day join her tears. She would grow too weary of the world, and slip away from the soft green light. She would hide from the pristine forest. She would drop herself into the water, and be carried away."

...

I felt in the mood for something darker. I decided to paint along with draw. This is also why I love Paint Tool Sai.
