SO I've been kinda busy! I was originally planning on making a little videogame comic featuring some characters and their shenanigans, but lets be honest, that's been done a million times, figured I'd post the scraps though!







SO, that's enough of that, however I'm keeping the characters



Lark here is gonna be the main character of a lighthearted fantasy comic (it was inspired by "Skadi", really, love that stuff)

blond lemmy is my fave

the first one is good

The third reads kind of poorly, at first Lark is still butthurt from the 2nd strip, but then he turns excitable with no visual feedback for the reader. It can still easily be inferred that he's awkward around grils but it'd be a lot smoother if you included a panel like "woah it's a gril", whether you have him say that or just have sparkles and bubbles around her while he looks dumbfounded etc

Didn't really pick this one up though, while there are similarities (long hair, turtleneck and pun), they seem that much alike?

I was half joking but yeah they kind of lack individuality.

The first comic is basically a pretty standard Fanboys strip

I'm sure as you draw/write them more you'll develop more distinct character for them but my first impression was "Hey it's recoloured Lemmy and Paul"

It's good to take inspiration and influence from things you like (And I really admire Scott for being someone who had shit art and made it better) but y'know, also try not to be them.
