Re: Art Thread
I tend to doodle things like that as little warm-up exercises when I haven't used my tablet in a while. :'D Sometimes I end up turning the doodles into actual characters.

Like my unnamed weird dragon/mermaid thing, whose colour scheme and markings and things I've been mucking about with for the past hour or so. Still not sure if I'm pop flyin' with them, but they're unlikely to remain consistent anyway. Also, scales are a bugger to shade.
This guy began life as this and I'm not actually sure how he ended up how he is now.

Oh gosh, thanks. ;w; That's what I'd love to work on in the future, so I'm glad my stuff has appeal.
Which reminds me, I posted a WIP of my animation showreel here a while ago but don't think I ever got around to posting the finished version. Fixing that now. :B

Re: Art Thread
Back in 2008, when OCTs were getting big on dA, Dire and I held an OCT called Steel Nation. Its theme was mechs and we had to come up with a few of the arenas where they would battle. Recently I decided to look back through the drawings we did for them and decided to see if I could still do something like that.
