Gotham City Mafia-HEROES WIN!!!
Re: Gotham City Mafia-DAY ONE
While true, I still probably should've counted it in the first place since you did still vote not to lynch, though yes the count isn't 7, it's 6.

Re: Gotham City Mafia-DAY ONE
The only ones I saw who really fit that description were Kamak, who interestingly fixed that right after you posted this, and Kira. I personally think hitting one of the middle voters is a surefire option, but both options are worth discussion (which I'd add to if I had more time right now, maybe in a bit)Reyo wrote: So...since lynching people who are simply not talking has never ended with ideal results, I'm thinking more towards looking at the people who have been talking, but not voting, but not the ones who are talking about voting to lynch someone, since they haven't voted because they're still waiting on who they should vote for. So it needs to be someone who's active in the discussion, but passive on the idea that we should vote for someone, and has yet to vote. There's also the 4th dimentional aspect as well, meaning if anyone has suddenly changed their behavior since the idea was set out that the most suspicious people are the ones who vote last on the no lynch on day 1.
The next question is if there are people who fit this description.

Re: Gotham City Mafia-DAY ONE
Also, why on Earth would I tell you who to lynch with a RNG? It's more fun watching you decide for yourselves!
Re: Gotham City Mafia-DAY ONE
Citizens could hit anyone, Joker could hit anyone, serial killer could hit anyone. The mafia is the only group which knows it's "safe" killing any given person. (Unless the two third-parties are cooperating? Joker's win condition isn't listed so maybe we're to assume it's the same as the serial killer's?)
The mafia always has the strict advantage in terms of probability, while the villagers and maybe the third party have to risk accidents. We have to decide whether or not the risk is worth it here. Personally, I think a bad lynch would set us back more than inactivity would. Especially with so many special roles stil active, I don't think we should be so ready to accidentally strike down, for example, someone as powerful as the batman.

Re: Gotham City Mafia-DAY ONE
The Joker's win condition is to kill five people with Joker Bombs OR be the second-to-last player standing. This will be amended in the OP.

Re: Gotham City Mafia-DAY ONE
I think we should lynch. So going through this list I would lynch Guyperson, because he's in the very middle. (Very middle adding Cori to the list before Guyperson.) I would think that mafia would want to play it safe and not wanna be first to lynch, not too close together in voting, but also they'd end the day quickly by casting votes last (but not at this point because everyone is looking a lot at what people are doing).Reyo wrote:People who have voted no lynch in order:
Runes
Myself
Guyperson
Barabba
Ycobb
vealiin
But since you said that, the next two people it would take to hammer the lynch are even less reliable to be mafia..
Kira also seems suspicious after reviewing the thread again and looking at Giraffe and Reyo's suggestions. But, I'm gonna stick my vote to Lynch Guyperson.

Wouldn't it make sense to go after someone at the ends of the list instead of the middle?

Re: Gotham City Mafia-DAY ONE
I was kinda hoping that when it was pointed out that the mafia would try to hammer in a vote of no lynch, that it would effectively keep it from happening, so that seemed to work. And with that I'll go ahead and recede my own vote to undecided to get it down to 5.
As for my own suspicions, I do have some direct questions for specific people.
Cori: You seem a little too worried about the serial killer/joker. I know you admitted to thinking it silly, but...well to be honest it is. As town, you'd think you'd be equally worried about the serial killer/joker as you would the mafia. Actually, you'd think you'd be a little pop flyin' that we have a serial killer/joker because they play as potentially beneficial offensive roles against the mafia. Without the serial killer/joker, it is true that they have a chance of hitting town just as well as the mafia, but the other thing is you have to realize that it's in their best interest to kill mafia off first, since weeding off the town too early would make it where the mafia wins and they lose. As of right now, you should be focussing your worry on the mafia, who have a 100% chance of hitting a town sided role each night rather than the serial killer/joker who are not only town sided as of right now, but are perhaps one of the best direct offensive roles we have against the mafia. It just seems that with the chaotic element the two provide, it's a distinctively mafia sided worry to have to want to focus on the two roles that pose the biggest direct threat to the mafia.
Kamak: You're being incredibly passive. There was a stint between your batman joke, and explaining your reasoning for not wanting to lynch, and then after that making a few more jokes while not really participating. While cracking jokes aren't really suspicious, I'm more curious over the whole "not really participating" part. You held off on voting no lynch because you wanted people to decide what they wanted to do first, but what's more curious is the timing. You made your comment on holding off your vote after Kira mentioned that the people at the end are the most suspicious, which she/he stated after the last person to vote no lynch did. I'm not saying this is a nail in the coffin, just a curious observation.
Kergan: I' just a little iffy on your phrasing of "and let's not talk about Zsasz." Why not? How not?
Guyperson: The "going after the people at the end" bit is where the mafia will hammer a vote with one or two people. With...what used to be 6, the people at the very end of that 6 are less likely to be mafia than the people who would've been 7 and 8 so really the people in the 5th/6th position are really only slightly more suspicious than the people in the 1st/2nd position, with the people in the 3rd/4th position being the most suspicious...I don't really have any sort of suspicion based questions though since really the only reason to suspect you would be the fact that you voted 3rd/4th to no lynch.

Re: Gotham City Mafia-DAY ONE
I don't think being scared of the joker and Zazs is silly at all. While they certainly CAN hit mafia, the chance of them hitting a townie is significantly higher. Twice as high to be precise. 8 Town, 4 mafia, 1 other 3rd party.
So if we get really unlucky, we end up with 3 dead townies by tomorrow at which point we can pretty much go pack our bags.

I don't see how worrying about the joker and the serial killer is distinctly mafia sided, since they all have the power to kill.

Re: Gotham City Mafia-DAY ONE
I meant to actually post sooner, but all I had was my phone and typing in that is annoying.
The main issue is that town is likely to vote no lynch without good information flow on the first game. That might be an issue in other games, but right now, we have the chance to force the serial killer to work with us. They need the mafia dead as much as we do, and potentially getting rid of them on the first day after they hand us a mafia kill seems counter productive. We can deal with them later once the mafia gets trimmed down a bit.
However, I didn't vote because voting would put us a vote away from a decisive no lynch. That would mean that anyone who wanted to end the day quickly could jump in and stop discussion, which is something I want to encourage for later use in scum hunting.
I've made my intentions clear at this point, though I'm pretty suspicious now of Angelic for jumping on a lynch. Nothing really conclusive of course, but Angelic or Guy might be a good target for Gordon tonight, provided he hasn't gone after either of them already.
